I have a better authority that he will be but Brady will go. Huddlestone wants to go too but no one wants him.
Currently, Brady is better...better defensively, can deliver excellent set pieces, and more consistent. Whether Robertson can do a bit of a Gareth Bale and find a position further advanced up the pitch, or whether he just develops the defensive side of his game (particularly defending the back post) will be interesting to see.Robertsons overrated now? **** me. Is that in preparation for him leaving? Presumably if someone turns Chesters head he'll be pretty **** too.

For me, the hype around Robertson and the big money is because of his attacking ability. Defensively, he is not as good as Brady and seems almost a liability at times. I don't know why Bruce hasn't yet played him in a more advanced position.
Lots. He's shocking at defending. He stands square on all the time to an attacker. No i cant remember the goals or the mess he caused but he did.Bollocks.
His attacking ability is the major factor in his value and hype, true, but he's definitely not a liability in defence and definitely as good a defender as Brady. Tell me, how many times did you see him get turned inside out and left on his arse? How many goals was he at fault for? There's nothing wrong with his defensive ability, and he's also a young kid who's played most his time at a ****ty level, he will improve massively on that part of his game.
He also hasn't been played in a more attacking position because he is very much a full back. He plays like a full back and all his best attacking work comes when he runs from deep, untracked, and his play in the final third is majorly utterly ****e.

He's a work in progress, I want to keep him and Brady.
He got done lots of times some led to goals others just put us under lots of pressure. There was that suicidal pass in the centre midfield that led to a goal. The last game against Ma U he just walked up to Valencia square on and he got nutmegged, nearly led to a goal.It wasn't lots, it was once or twice which you have to expect from a 20 year old (?) whos played a bit in Scottish non league and one season in the silly pointless league. He's a work in progress granted but he's quite far down the line.
The point is people like to portray him as a liability as if he's at fault for countless goals every other week, when he simply isn't. I can't remember them off the top of my head either though I bet every single one of our defenders was at fault for just as many, and many of the errors just as bad if not worse. I don't remember robertson doing something as ridiculous as Alex Bruce's lunge at Long away at Southampton for example, or McGregor deciding to pick up Elmo's back pass at WBA.
I'd like to keep both. In a 4-4-2 our left side would be invincible with Brady at Left Back and Robertson Left Wing. They could interchange and as they both have pace they would cause all sorts of problems. Brady needs his contract situation reviewing first though he's in his final year, if he won't extend then he'll need to be moved on.Lots. He's shocking at defending. Think this is why theres been interest in him and not Robbo (I think).I'd like to keep both. In a 4-4-2 our left side would be invincible with Brady at Left Back and Robertson Left Wing. Lots of stuff for Brucey and the Allams to sort out. Players really do hold all the cards these days. What if Brady wont sign? Do you sell him or hold on hoping he gets you up, even if he gets you up and then still refuses and signs for another PL club on a free?

Doesn't seem a battle we've got much chance of winning.

Except I would guess he's not likely to get much playing time at Everton. Whereas here he has more of a chance of playing a lot of games. TWT as always.
Plus as Van Gaal was quite impressed by our support despite us getting relegated on the final day. It may help swing a deal as a better development option. He's still only 19, so I do think he needs a Championship move first.
If anyone has a chance at getting him it's only Bruce and Phelan with their Man U connections.
Unfortunately true. We should pursue him with the offer of first team football but just look at Chelsea going after Begovic!!! ****ing hell Begovic wonders if its the right move for his career!!! Play every game for Stoke or sit on your arse on double the salary.I get what you're saying but hoe often does this happen? Loan players always seem to choose bigger clubs over us, knowing that they'll get less game time. Fraizer Campbell did it twice when he was already a hero here.
