Bazza...!!! Another great ride by Geraghty...!!!

Dont think having to miss the last and run round it would have made much difference... Finians Rainbow always looked like getting up the hill 1st...

Well done lads if you went with the Rainbow...<applause>

RV, do you not think Sizing Europe missed the chance a) to outjump Finians Rainbow, and b) he had to swerve from the inside of the fence, so was badly hampered.

    Shambles of a race.

How can the Stewards be so indecisive at one of the biggest races of the meeting, very poor and its not sour grapes, mine crashed out WISHFUL THINKING which would have placed i believe.

Sack the stewards :), well done Finians Rainbow backers

Cheers Steveo - am now even for the week and anything else will now be profit and have a few darts around yet. Just really annoying to lose out like that but, and let's be absolutely fair about it, Finian's rainbow may have won anyway. Henderson's on absolute fire FFS!

Dickie looks to be smiling on the stretcher. What a relief.

Was disappointed by the ride from Lynch - should've tried to stretch FR more coming down the hill, didn't make enough use of his horse. I bet they're wishing they'd run Somersby <laugh>

Think Finians Rainbow still would've won despite the shambles at the last but Sizing Europe let down my accumulator bet, had Sprinter Sacre, Quevega and Big Bucks in it.

Was Barry Geraghty was 7/1 to be leading jockey on Monday?

I'll just point out that the decisions regarding omitting fences/hurdles are not taken by the Stewards. The Stewards are in a little room watching the race on television screens, their job is to ensure the fair running of the race.

The fences/hurdles are handled by course officials/fence judges and they are the ones who take the decision.

    Pedantic, I know!

Difficult call, the final jump would have decided the winner and Sizing had to change tact and lost his momentum more tha FR in my eyes, but either way the argument is the poor stewarding, shambles

I think Sizing was the much more hampered horse. Can't say who would have won but I think he was unlucky to be making the pace from so early and then even more unlucky with the farce at the last.

I blame the stewards for not contacting the BHA and asking to be allowed to be course officials and fence judges as well as stewards as they should be more competent so my criticism is still fair enough I think.

Carlito Brigante to retain his Coral Cup crown for me in the next!

Though I've also had an e/w saver on Spirit Son in light of the firm of the yard!

That fall looked even worse in slow motion, those photographers were very lucky: at least 2 or 3 of them were knocked over/kicked.

Of course I meant Spirit River!

Good news for Dickie Johnson, only soft tissue damage.

I agree George - Sizing Europe was the more hampered horse - John Francome said the same too. Still think Finians Rainbow would've won, but by a neck or half a length.

Alistair Down "we've heard from the stewards and they've said everything was in place but the jockeys had their heads down when they should have been looking - I think we need a bit of a stronger argument than that" <laugh> <laugh>
