I'll just point out that the decisions regarding omitting fences/hurdles are not taken by the Stewards. The Stewards are in a little room watching the race on television screens, their job is to ensure the fair running of the race.

The fences/hurdles are handled by course officials/fence judges and they are the ones who take the decision.

Pedantic, I know!

PN,surely they are "radioed" up and would have been drilled for such eventualities.

I'm afraid their employers are vicariously liable for their acts and omissions..<laugh>

Good to see RJ sustained only minor injuries.

I think Consigliere could be a bit of a Pipe job in the next. Big price too at 40s.

Anyone know if there's a way I can stream the last two online without a bet?

Big gamble on Son Of Flicka in the next, was 66/1 with some bookmakers this morning, it's now 14/1.

Get me out of here and Third Intention are my 2 in the Coral Cup

I would also recommend having a bet now on New Years Eve (B Geraghty) in the bumper as it is sure to shorten up considerably

Silverhand (loves good ground) to run well for Noel Meade and DARE ME to brighten up Hobbs week.

GMOOH, the form of his last race is very strong.
darlan very close to winning thesupreme.
zarkandar ran well in the champion hurdle, was just out paced but stayed on strongly.
sire de grugy 3rd at the weekend off top weight.
Also plenty of experience in big fields at cheltenham.

Alistair Down "we've heard from the stewards and they've said everything was in place but the jockeys had their heads down when they should have been looking - I think we need a bit of a stronger argument than that" <laugh> <laugh>

Thats a joke of a comment from the stewards, disgusting

Come on Carlito.........

"Everything was in order but the jockeys had their heads down and couldn't see" FFS

Dicky is OK and could possibly ride tomorrow.

At the end of the day a cock up is a cock up but the BHA should see the bigger picture. loads of people lost big style on Sizing and more to the point if Ron had him in any of the comps and loses to someone who had Finian's rainbow he might be so angry that he closes the forum down. They hadn't thought of that i would wager.....

The screens were for Dickie.

Couple of nasty looking falls in that race, plus a few looked to pull up injured. Fingers crossed for all.

Someone knew that was a good thing... wasnt it 66/1 this morning...!!!<yikes>

Son Of Flicker never looked anything but the winner from a long way out...
