Maybe not. What happened? Bet365 had you scoring a goal and then it was crossed off?

Dunno. Frankly that could have been 2-2 at half time they had two easy chances to score and Bonne??? How is it even possible to miss that?

Nice, 1-0 at half time.

Some decent play, Edwards is good to watch and Harper is class. Bonne could have touched that ball with his nut sack and scored, bizarre miss. Didn't head it when he should have and then air kicked his attempt.

Hopefully more goals from us in the second half

Absolutely nothing from Cheltenham yet and they're the home side. Surely going to come at us more second half.

Cook has a habit of clearing the decks and starting again so most of the old team are gone. Not so much about replacing old talent with new talent but old mentality with new. Anybody who's a manager and has had to build a team will know that it is far easier to create a new culture with new staff than to try and change the habits of the old staff.

And I didn't say this was the team to get us promoted, I just said all we need to be is good enough. That might not be this team yet, we are only one transfer window into a rebuild. We have been told by the new owners that we have a budget for this league and then it will be looked at again on promotion so no, I don't think we would have another big overhaul of players but instead spend larger amounts on two or three that will make a difference at Championship level.
I've just checked your transfers and I think you guys are playing it down a bit now with your expectations ;)

Any team in this league that spends about 4 million quid on players should expect promotion as a bare minimum. I don't think I've seen that sort of money getting splashed about in this league since we've been down here. I know you'll call me a hypopcrite because we spent 3 million on Grigg in our first season but that was just a terrible transfer that everybody could see a mile off. Our manager didn't want him but the owner went and paid the money anyway.

It looks like you're on your way to your first 3 points tonight. Hope it picks up for you guys from here <ok>

Grigg was top scorer in this division wasn't he?

We've spent about zero because we've brought about the same amount in from sales and wages saved from the high earning players that have gone.

Not sure tbh, he wasn't getting a game at Wigan at the time and came unfit and fat. I've never liked the lad, I think he has always been way overrated because of that daft song which raised his profile. We are trying to get rid of him before September, if you guys are interested?

I'm just looking at the transfer market and it doesn't look you have even brought in half of what you have spent.

Obviously we are completely guessing with wages and I wouldn't have a clue and I'm guessing unless there's ITK's on this board, you guys probably won't have a clue on wages bills from last season to this. You have brought loads of players in. Many of them would have been demanding sign-on fees and then of course there's the agents fees.

You might claw some back over time if wages are saving money but at the moment your initial outlay is rather big and it doesn't look like you've spent zero...

Selling Downes and Dozzell has brought in 2.5m alone, plus some other small fees and tribunal amounts get us close to our outlay. We had a bunch of 30yr old+ players on Championship contracts that have gone as well. We have added quite a few free transfers so I really don't think we've spent that much. I will say that I think we are blowing most other League One teams out of the water with wages offered though.
