What does it matter how much the Club got/get for any individual player ?
The owners are the only ones affected. Their players; their Club; their money; their decisions.
Consequently, there is no " we ".
Simple answer really - if 'The Owners' get more for a player sale, then maybe 'they' can afford to spend a bit more on a replacement. It's more profit for 'them' isn't it ?
And whilst you continue to refuse to acknowledge the emotional attachment that lifelong fans of a football club invest in, "We" is a very appropriate term to use. The fans will be with the club a lot longer than any owners.
Whichever way you cut it, the owners still own the Club, and " we " have no say in the running of it.
" Emotional " attachment is fine, but too many people think that gives them some kind of input into the running of the business. Clearly, it doesn't.
At the end of the day the football supporter is merely a customer, and if they accepted that status, they wouldn't get so het up about it.
