Swansea City has completed the signing of Nathanael Ogbeta from Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

The 20-year-old bolsters Russell Martin’s wide options with the left-sided player becoming Swansea’s fifth and final signing of the transfer window following the arrivals of Andy Fisher, Cyrus Christie, Hannes Wolf and Finley Burns.

Ogbeta, who was due to be out of contract in the summer, has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The England youth international spent 10 years on the books at Manchester City, the majority of which took in the period where Swans sporting director Mark Allen was the Citizens’ academy chief.
