Despite the Hornets bad form it was quite a high scoring week for us on here. Pride of place goes to Fez here, who in an ungentlemanly way jumped ahead of Mrs Fez with a score of 127. Thus moving into third. Chris also did well with 105 moving into 4th. All a little bit closer at the top now. Fortunately there were no jokers played on the postponed Rotherham v Derby match, so all jokers counted. Yorkie has decided to throw away the anchor and start to rise up the table. Who will be the leader going into the new year ? We will find out next week after our Boxing Day edition.​

All change for many of us this week with only 4 posters not actually changing their position. A very high scoring week with no less than 4 of us topping the hundred mark, and where Hackney ended up in the unusual position of scoring a round ton yet dropping a place. Hackney is definitely smoking something at the moment and scored a second hundred plus score to move into second place. Matej is continuing to consult his octopus, or crystal ball, to good effect and opened up a gap at the top with the week's highest score of 146. From 4th place to 10th is very close with only 90 points separating them. Strangely nobody predicted 1-0 to the Horns (there were a couple of 2-1 predictions).

A predictably low scoring week for us based on only 8 matches. For those who placed jokers on the matches at Brentford and Luton I simply transfered those jokers onto the next match on the list. We now have a 2 week break where attention moves to the FA Cup and so I can think out a plan for coping with postponed matches in the meantime. Highest score of the round was Mark with 86, which keeps him in 4th and narrows the gap on the top three. Second highest was Yorkie with 78. The gaps at the top are narrowing a bit ​

I would have thought coming 3rd from the bottom of the sea might have got a mention, but I expect normal service will be resumed soon.

After having got the Hornet's scoreline correct for the first time in yonks I thought that I might have closed the gap on Mark in 4th place but he went and got the highest of the season so far , but to be sporting over this . This earthquake of 163 has forced Mark into second and only 25 off the leadership. Thus Hackney got a great score of 110 but didn't rise at all. Other high scorers were theghost with 138 and Paul with 107. Reasons for all these high scores were not only the Hornets winning by a predictable scoreline but also reasonably predictable results at Blackburn, Bristol City and Cardiff - lots of points came from these matches. There were 3 postponements this week and so the next round in 2 weeks time will include 10 Championship matches, as usual, with 'reserve' fixtures taken from elsewhere (mostly from the Premiership) - these tips will come into the reckoning in the event of postponements.​

A very disappointing night for the Hornets with lots of clueless football on display. Despite that it was a high scoring round on here with 6 of us getting over the hundred mark - I say us because I was one of them, which underlines the saying that even broken clocks are right twice per day. Is there any stopping Matej ? Another impressive score of 113 extends his lead at the top to 55 points over Hackney. Highest of the day was Mrs Fez with 123 bringing her up to 6th just behind her other half, though catching up rapidly.​

A very low scoring day on here, which was the perfect day for the odd poster to make hay. The were two haymakers this week - for the rest of us it was all very frustrating. Main haymaker was Frenchie with a score of 157 - helped by being the only poster to actually predict the non event at Coventry (St. Andrews). This moves him up to 4th place above me Our other haymaker was Andy with 121. Matej slipped on a bit of a banana skin this week, which would have been a perfect opportunity to close the gap which happened but only by a little. Still, it's close at the top with only 50 points separating the top 3 places. For the first time one of the reserve fixtures came into play with the match at Burnley replacing the postponed fixture at Barnsley.​

A great weekend for the Hornets, and maybe a glimmer of things to come. On here it was a quiet round with generally low scoring and very little movement in the table. Highest score of the day was by Scully with 74, followed by Matej with 72 who is showing great consistency at the top. Between us we only managed to get 4 of the scorelines correct - the games at Birmingham, Derby, Man City and, at Leverkusen. ​
