All change at the top as Matej moves back into top spot. Lawro still has a game in hand but he would need maximum points on Palace v Brighton tomorrow night (he has 2-1 for Palace). Highest scorer of the day was Hackney with 124, this being as a result of the Hornets match. Some of us tipped optimistically but the majority tipped on a larger win for Liverpool, Hackney being the only one to get it just right. High scores also for theghost and Charlie. Only just over a hundred points between the first 8 places so all still to play for, and with a busy Christmas on the horizon anything is possible.

Only just seen this. Mrs Andy’s father passed last Sunday, so we’ve been pretty insular this week. Matej will be pleased to be ahead of Lawrenson. Hopeful (and I am such an Eeyore) we can get something out of today.
Sad news Andy. My mother died on the 19th December 1995, and it threw Christmas celebrations into a bit of confusion. For the sake of your children you try to keep everything as normal as possible, but it is not quite right. Hope that you, your wife and boys, still manage to have a good time.

A broad spread of scores this week from very high to very low. Highest score for the second week running was by Hackney with 148, once again getting the Hornets score correct with a unique scoreline. NZHorn also did well with 120 moving him up into third. Chris got the second highest score of 122, which moves him up into 6th. The week's only other 100+ score was by Charlie with 118. Quite a few now in contention at the top. To settle any puzzlement about Lawro's score for this week - I placed his joker on Brighton, because Liverpool were playing in this World Club's cup - which I later realized he had also tipped, and got maximum points on. Because it was an extra, and not a league match I moved his joker onto the league fixture. We now have a busy time on here because we have a Boxing Day round, in addition to next weekend. It is possible to tip the rounds separately, or together if people don't want the hassle of tipping twice.

Just checked up again on all the scores and they were all correct - but it was, of course Chris who got the Watford scoreline correct and not Hackney.

I know it's rather trivial, but if my score is 935, I would - however briefly - like to be 17th.
Thanks - it's a bit like the team - grateful for small mercies!. I shall be content if the team follows me and we are 17th - or higher at season end.

Here is our new table after the Boxing Day round, including last nights match at Molineux. A low scoring round for many of us. There were quite a few who tipped on the Hornets to draw, but for some reason went for either 2-2 or 0-0, rather than the statistically more possible 1-1 - leaving the way clear for Matej to jump in and reap hay. Which he duly did and opened up a gap at the top with the rounds highest score of 136 
. NZHorn has now moved into second ahead of Lawro, who had a quiet round. It all carries on today and so the table will be changing again as we speak.

Our last league table of 2019 shows Matej leading the way into the new year, though with a reduced lead over NZHorn, who caught up ground with a good score of 90. Pride of the day goes to Chris with the round's highest score of 142 - moving him from mid table to 3rd. Our other 100+ score was from Brian with 104, moving him up to within a point of his mate Paul. We now have a break for 2 weeks and focus shifts onto the FA Cup league.
