I don't know if anyone else has, but I watched 'Cry Freetown'. Filmed by Sorious Samura.
Really quite something. He went behind the scenes and filmed what was happening in Sierra Leone.
Really shocking and amazing that he managed to document so much. Really moved me.
Easily the most harrowing documentary I've seen. But effective in its presentation. Samura's narration adds to that.
Anyone seen it?
Thanks DTLW - I'm really interested in what happened in Sierra Leone but haven't seen this, so will look forward to that when I get home. You really should try and get a copy of A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah.
