The Mags put up flags inside the ground and would've done the same in the BCB then posted photos ...

... if you hire a venue you can decorate it to your own taste, or lack of any in their case <laugh>

Exactly. And it's not them that have turned it into a major incident. Its our fans going on about it being "disrespectful" and "the club selling the fans out".

Should be easy enough to say that publicly, if that's what happened.

However, they were clearly left to their own devices in there for quite a while, when proper supervision wouldn't have seen the signs get out of their wrapping, or at least work halted until someone got clearance from above.

Would anyone here have seen that sign going up at the time and thought 'nah, it'll be fine'?

The West Brom fans were turfed out of their end and the club allowed Wolves fans into other parts of the ground.

I doubt people will be demanding someone is sacked, or publicly shamed, and that was a hundred times worse than a few banners. I'd say the West Brom fans are much more entitled to an explanation tbh.

Heaven knows how long some people will drag this out.

I know people say it's just going round and round the same points, but it's going to keep going round and round until there's a credible resolution.

What's the best thing for the club to do for the club, not for your internet rep?

What’s credible though, a sacking? I don’t want someone out of work if they’ve made a mistake, if they keep making mistakes that’s different. We’re all allowed to learn from our mistakes.

Depends how big the mistake is.....

Like I said, if you have to learn that putting a load of Newcastle signs up at Sunderland's stadium isn't fine, then why were you employed in the first place.

I’d be very surprised if we signed off on that but for me it’s done now. Off to work now.

I was mate, but this has happened since then.

TBH there was very little value in the first place which, I suppose, is my point.

    'Much ado about nothing'.

Canny play that. Ever told you I am a shakespeare nut? Imagine that, lad from the fells loving Shakespeare.

Tell you what, he would love a play about our last 10 years <laugh>. God knows whether it would be a tragedy or a comedy though.

Outrageous this. My daughter just went on stage a couple of weeks ago, she was Mercucio in the school play. A plauge on both your houses. (Yer twats)

Another Shakespeare fan here. Much Ado hits the top five for me. Maybe scrapes into the top three.

You have and I'm the same.

I find it funny when people say they don't 'get it' then happily use phrases from Shakespeare in everyday language.

Although it did cause me a few problems when I was learning French 'on the hoof' down there. If I was speaking English, to French, Dutch, Italian friends ...

... I'd have to avoid using phrases like 'by the skin of my teeth' or 'wear my heart on my sleeve'

Poor Mercucio, talk about the wrong place at the wrong time. I feel that "A plauge on both your houses" would roughly translate to "go and f**k yourselves" in 2024. I have the complete works of Shakespeare, plan on sitting down and reading it when I have a spear 5 minutes or 3 years, it's an outrageously thick book.

Not really the same situation. If Hearts had been playing in the game it would have been similar.

    I didn't say it was ...

... it's not the same but there are similarities.
