to be honest if I were the allams I would walk away now and expect repayment of the money I had loaned the club ... we dont deserve owners who want to do things there way .. we should set up a group of people from each forum to run our club and we will be champions league winners within 5 years ...

oh and lastly .. regarding the scouts .. we havent had any SENIOR TEAM scouts since nigel pearson left ... so there is nothing to get rid of .. but hey lets not let facts get in the way of a good piece of gossip

I know you know my feelings on the various aspects of the club so leaving that aside....someone who isn't actually your mate, has an intimate and in depth personal but business conversation with the Allams, then shared the details of said conversation with you? Someone who is not his mate?

If the Allams DID have that conversation with him, I imagine it was in confidence, which means to me at best your not-a-mate is an untrustworthy gossip and at worst, this is just more made up stuff that does noone any favours.

This is just more, unhelpful, **** stirring, moaning crap which I just do not get at all. Why is it so hard to appreciate what we have, and support the club, including the owners? If they DID leave I wouldn't blame them in the slightest. They didnt do what they did for hero worship but surely, even if gratitude is too much, just not actually hating on them isn't too much to ask?

It's more of a working relationship to do with the OSC than an intimate and personal one. As I understand it, the Allams like to know what the fans think on various topics and I know they speak to a City fan at Allam Marine and also some people at the OSC to get those views. It's purely a 'So what do the fans think?' kind of thing rather than a business thing. I'm involved with the OSC as well and that's why he mentioned it to me, despite me not being best mates with him.

I assure you the Allams DID have that conversation, and I don't think it was in confidence. As I said it's not a business thing and I think the intention was that he shared it with the rest of us. If anyone's the gossip it's me.

I will continue to support the club as I have done all along, but it doesn't mean I won't question the wisdom of the owners at times. I certainly don't hate them, I think they have very good intentions, but I also feel they probably don't have quite ability they think they do at carrying out those intentions.

Of course I'm not going to buy the club but that doesn't mean I can't give my opinion on the current events at the club or even share some information with opinions left out as in this case. My long-term plan would not involve radically changing every aspect of the club to be like some other kind of business, even though 91 other league clubs are doing fine trading in the standard way that football clubs do.

As for scouting, I'm not expert on it but I believe it involves networks of people, some who work for more than one club and is as much about 'contacts' as it is employees of the club. Obviously since Walsh left we haven't had a senior head scout on the management team but others will still have been looking around for us.

Hopefully the Allams know that quite a few Hull City supporters are behind them. Until we sell off our best players and replace them with **** ones I will continue to back Assem and Ehab .

To me if they walked it would be far worse then the sacking of Nicky Barmby and we would really be in the **** without the Allams .

I have said it loads of times on here but I just don't get why if anyone questions anything the Allams do we are somehow hating them and not appreciating that they saved the club. I can only assume that those that think the Allams cannot be criticised and can do no wrong just because they have money do not know how to think for themselves. Yes they own the club but the supporters play a big part in the club as well. They need our money to be able to survive, they provide a product and we have every right to question how that product is produced.

I suspect now this thread will be taken over by the "how dare you criticize" mob and will just not be worth reading because anyone who had a different point of view to you are just ridiculed and called an idiot or worse.

In a way I admire the loyalty shown by some to the allam's, i also greatly appreciate them bailing us out of the mess left by the previous regime

But how far does that loyalty extent?, were you not concerned when a good manager and loyal servant of the club was sacked for no good reason that I'm yet to hear, add to that all the other stories coming out of the club

Hull city has meant a great deal to me for most of my life and as I've said I'm thankful for the allam's saving our club but the club is all about it's supporters, owners come and go Remember david Lloyd?, didn't he also bail us out( just had vision of thousands of squash balls coming out of the east stand!)

No you haven't shared facts! You've shared unsubstantiated gossip and labelled it fact. I know having spoken to some of them that the local media believe the decision to sack Pearson and Barmby was the correct and only course of action for the Allams to take but due to the fact that the Allams are protecting the professional reputations of bothit remains ounsubstantiated so they can't release it into the public domain. It's hillarious reading some of the utter crap posted on here that makes out as though the Allams are bumbling morons with no idea how to run a business, hands up all of those on here with a £400 million fortune! Do you think they knew anything about marine generators when they took that business over? You learn as you go making mistakes along the way but as long as you employ sound business principles and learn from those mistakes you have a chance of succeeding the way they do.They've spent a year learning about the club, studying where it is unnecessarily hemorrhaging money(in their opinion) and addressed it, they continue to prop the club up to the tune of £7 million a year we have an enormous wage bill that is unsustainable without them, I think all of these things require respect, not the moronic and offensive insinuations some posters on here delight in spreading.

Yet the irony is, if those of us who don't see what there is to criticize over the Allams approach (although we also did like Nick, and would also like to know why he left but we're not losing sleep over it) challenge, respond or try to debate any points raised by people who like to do that (and for the record I admire ISTPLT's responses, I may not agree but he's arguing his point logically, sort of ) the first thing that happens is, you jump in and accuse us taking over a thread or calling people names, generally adding nothing at all to the threads other than reminding us of your right to criticize anyone and how you expect to be vilified for it.

Regarding knowing why Nick was sacked, it is entirely possible that the reason they've not come out and told us all is because it would do Nick no favours at all, especially if the assault story is true. Even if it isn't, I still don't believe we'll ever hear the truth over that and once we have a new manager, the majority of us will move on.

No seriously, I saw / read a feature as some company has set up an online database of all professional players that is managed concurrently and can provide up to the minute pro-zone stats (or the equivalent) on all their games, effectively making scouting redundant. If we go down this route we really wont be the first or last.

Most ProZone stats are rubbish. Two players tapping the ball to each other to increase their completion rate. Similarly with YouTube. I'd want to see at least several full games before I made a decision on a player.

....Our scouting network seems to be ****e anyway. We're one of the best placed cities in the UK to check out talent in The Netherlands and Belgium, yet we're one of the few teams in the top two divisions that don't seem to ever pick players up from those countries. Baffles me.

We say our geography lets us down when attracting players here, yet don't bother using it to our advantage when we can.

Do you suggest we have scouts based in Hull to travel to matches in these countries? I would have scouts based in the countries themselves.

Agreed. If I was Allam I would be keeping quite about all this unless it was with the people directly involved in the process. These people wouldn't be telling Hull City fans anything about what went on.
