I agree with you, and everyone knows that the only person he will be consulting before he makes his decision in January is the one who smiles back at him in the mirror.
He was rewriting history in the meeting too, apparently City had never been successful ahead of his arrival.
Makes me chuckle every time I hear him (that's Stanley by the way not that other fella who's been in the news this week)
Newton Heath is shorter than ....................? Hull City is shorter than Hull Tigers. Why are we waiting until we change the name before going global?
I realise a lot of **** has been spouted over the last few days, but this just about sums up, for me, why AA's current thinking is creating such confusion... I will never change the colour, I will never change the logo, I will never remove Hull, I will never remove Tigers. "These words were there for many years. The colour of the club, amber and black, is there. The logo is there. That's for the fans and I will never change this without consulting the fans. Correct me if I'm wrong but surely the word 'City' has also been there 'for many years'. The thing is, it's my club, if it goes tits up then I won't be running to support Ferriby, Hall Road or Uncle Tom Cobley, if it goes tits up then so will my allegiance to any one football club
Is it the same one who told you all the players were to be put up for sale when Barmby got sacked?? They've took one picture down, what have they put in its place?
Nah that was direct from Nick, along with a promise of an explosive Nicks side of the story expose and how he was bullied by Dr Allam.
The famous Cassius Clay - Sonny Liston photo, but with Allam portraying Clay and Geraghty portraying Liston.
Cos we're not egg-chasers. If we were we might have cared. It's quite obvious you just don't want to believe this. Everything that has come out in the last few days, OLM has posted on here a day or two before. There's no good reason to not believe him. There were loads of 2008 pictures around the stadium. It'll be easy to see whether he's taken the lot down or if it's just that one. But even if it's the full lot gone replaced with pictures of himself, people will still defend it saying we need to not cling into history or something.
I'd just like to point out that they've put a load of other, larger, and more varied pictures up too.
First they came for the communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the socialists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me. Martin Niemöller
It's a fair point. It was to do with the finances wasn't it? FC refusing to pay for these rooms which City were doing.
I can't remember what it turned out to be in the end. I remember the torrent of abuse the egg chasers spat at our hero Dr. Allam until a few days later it emerged AP refused to pay a nominal fee.
So from a business point of view it made more sense than this name change stuff, but it was still a shoddy way to treat the local hero Johnny Whiteley.
Local hero. I'm sure Leicester Tigers have some 'legends' but I won't have heard of any of them. It's the same thing.
I don't think they do. I've met them all, I couldn't name a single one of them, but they're all quite normal blokes. It's a pre-requisite to be a legend that you have to have your head planted firmly up your arse. Just like Dr. Allam - legend.
