Personally I've never understood the fascination with this - **** England, I want our players rested and injury free.

So 16 months. If we're serious about keeping him we should be offering him a new contract now but of course we can't because
of the financial uncertainty of relegation.

We could, If we went down we could loan him out for a season if we were serious about coming straight back up, if we didnt get that promotion we could flog him. ****wit 1 and 2 would more than likely put a £2m release clause in there though.

If we loaned him out next season, he wouldn't be ours at the end of the season and we couldn't flog him at all.

According to The Sun and The Star, he rejected a new deal in January.

Probably just because he's a greedy ****, but you'd have to check that with Chazz.
