Pah, our inside Christmas decorations are nearly finished. I work on the principal that I've got more Christmas's behind me than I have in front, so enjoy the ones I have left.
It upsets greatly me to see those magnificent creatures, and others, slaughtered to make trinkets for Arabs and potions for the Chinese. Don’t know if you have seen that programme about the rescue of the world’s loneliest elephant which Cher took a great part in help bring about? Not a fan but have a higher opinion of her seeing how she helped without seeking personal publicity and making it all about her. Most moving at the end when she goes to see the lephant adapting to its new life after years of isolated misery. Here is a snippet, the sight of him making contact with another elephant after years is wonderful. Can’t find the whole programme but there are other clips from the programme on you tube.
Butler was given an eight month prison sentence, suspended for eighteen months and was ordered to complete rehabilitation activity and 200 hours of unpaid work over an 18-month period. He was also banned from driving for three years and ordered to pay costs of £600. He looks like he'd be a ****. please log in to view this image
His unpaid work bit should be cleaning out ambulances, especially ones with blood and vomit involved.
Karma, he found his own way blocked. Answering the door to his home in a block of flats, a clearly surprised Butler, dressed in a red Manchester United t-shirt and black shorts, shouted: 'Leave now. I am not happy about this.' When he was asked if he wanted to comment on his conviction, he said: 'No I'm sorry.' Moments later, he stormed out of the flats in his bare feet and stomped down the pavement while using his mobile phone to take pictures of the journalist and called the police. Butler, who now has a suspended jail sentence hanging over his head, then became flustered and angry as he arrived at the blue-painted communal front door of his block of flats when he realised he had locked himself out. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...e-driver-avoided-jail-blocking-ambulance.html
