Think some silly sod with no knowledge of history saw that date was commemorated and thought let’s do a promotion without checking what was been commemorated. A lot of younger people who are not German would have no idea what Kristallnacht was.

Yes maybe. And I suppose the absence of any secondary approval of outgoing communications might be called 'a system error'.
