I don't know what the fuss is tbh. If someone gave **** like that to Mz Kempton, I'd punch them in the throat and they'd deserve it.
For me, if you have to resort to making jokes about other peoples health issues, then you are a pretty **** comedian to be honest. Chris Rock is garbage, fair play to Will. As mentioned above, someone makes a joke out of my wife if she had any health issues, it wouldn't just be a slap - National TV or not
It's a good job it was Smiffy that hit him, as he clearly has no punching power, rather than her young gangster rapper boyfriend.
Not staged As others have said he laughed until he realised she wasn't Didn't watch teh clip posted but on the japanese version which didn't cut any swearing etc he'd lost it and kept abusing him after sitting down It was a slap not a punch, but Chris Rock isn't pressing charges to Police aren't doing anything...bet some lawyers are though
IF it wasn't staged, that's even more embarrassing. For doing it in the first place, and for making such an ineffective job of it when he had. I still lean toward it being staged, right down to the onion tears on his speech. They've reduced the Oscars to a non-event that would have passed unnoticed if there wasn't some sideshow to get it into the news.
Whether it was staged or not, that episode has turned it into a bigger farce than it already was. As Ricky Gervais said it's a self-congratulatory event, which for most people, just see very rich actors and actresses making their heads bigger than they already are.
Will Smith's marriage is open to everything. Apart from jokes. Which is a bit much for a so called comedian really.
Imo. it wasn't staged at all, it was a poor attempt at humour in really poor taste, and Smith was wrong to react in that way at such an event (understandable in some ways but not the example to be setting - he could have made his feelings known without resorting to violence ..... including not laughing in the first instance).
It definitely wasn't staged, they'd never have agreed something like that in advance, it's a primetime show in the States and they pulled it off air.
What's that thing about every force having an equal and opposite reaction, well that was quite a swing so I would be expecting the reaction be a fall on the floor, some blood, a thick lip, a big bruise, a swelling or a combination of those, not a laugh and oh well let's get on with the show then. Still fake
No fake and I've concluded he did right, what a **** concept the oscars are if you turn up in all your finery for a top award and have to sit there first and have some unfunny c*nt of a host ridicule your wife in front of the whole nation?
I don't think there was anything fake about it at all. Wait though! Do I actually give a ****? Does anyone else sometimes think 'Why did even bother posting this?
