Loved watching all the newcastle fans cry their little hearts out when getting relegated oh and they all blamed their chairman because they couldn't see they team was acctually ****

We could, hence why we are glad we got rid of all the overpaid pre-Madonna's! Christ, know what your saying before you set your typing fingers off man.

We will bow to your judgement on watching **** teams. After all Hull fans have been watching one week in week out for a very long time.

AldridgePrior you'll be pleased to know I've just had a message from somebody that thought the poem was mine for some reason and complimenting me on it.

Come On You 'Ull
By Mike Watts

Statistics claim my city sucks
And in 'Crap Towns' and other books
They say - poverty and slum have tied the knot
And we're all wild on drink and pot,
And teenage girls with STD's
Push their buggies in two's and three's,
Past feral gangs tooled-up and hooded
Prowling streets not long since flooded,
Where everything's robbed and set alight
And screaming sirens every night,
Arrive too late, or just in time
To GBH and other crime -

Well hang about - you expert geeks
It's not just our **** that reeks,
We're no better, we're no worse
And any place can pinch your purse,
And I bet even your leafy village
Has seen unemployment, rape and pillage.

So next time you take the piss
Please - give Hull a miss,
Think twice before you have a go -

'Or we'll burgle yer an' brek yer jaw.'

Was it the Queen? I knew I should have copyrighted it. Tell her I'm very honoured, privileged and humbled by her acknowledgement.... And that I think she is in no way a sour faced, scrounging German.... Your Majesty.

Is that yours? Excellent work sir! <applause>

Just had a Norwich supporting friend go to Hull for the game on Saturday. He got there and text me saying "I thought Hull would be disgusting, but I didn't realise it would be this bigger **** hole" My dad then classed it as worse than Morecambe! If you've been to Morecambe you'll realise how much of an insult that is.

considering hull is close to 30 square miles and your friend coming in from norwich would more than likely come in over the humber bridge and traveled approximately 1 maybe 2 miles down boothferry road and a small portion of anlaby road to reach the stadium, your friend didnt really have much of a view of the city travelling down 2 roads of a fairly large city.

i was born in and lived in hull for 22 years of my life. it has its good parts... it has its bad parts... if someone has a bad experience.. ill sympathise with them if its based on FACT, but the fact is 95% of people who have something to say have never ever experienced the city... a trip down one road to the football stadium does not really count.

as mentioned before. the city has some rather nice architecture and history, filled with alot of museums and a decent sized art gallery. it houses 2 top flight rugby league teams which has attracted some of the biggest players in the world. one more recent being Willie Mason.
the city has the worlds only underwater aquarium. has an engineering marvel with once the worlds largest suspension bridge and the current largest bridge that also acts as a footbridge. the fort of fort paull on the outskirts of the city held the crown jewels during WW2. also during WW2 we took the brunt of the air raids outside london attracting bombs that would have crippled most of the country. we are the home to Amy Johnson (dont know who that is... read a book).

ive yet to see one single educated opinion that trashes on the city. insted most believe and repeat the **** thrown about by a cockney with a grudge.

now can we shut up and talk about football. because im really starting to see why my family took the decision to get out of Durham. and from the amount of educated opinion banded about this thread. im glad i was brought up in hull

I'm a Hull City AFC fan, but don't come from Hull, have no relatives from Hull and have never lived in Hull. On a scale of 1-10, how offended should I be by this thread?

...Pretty sure you've just insulted the majority of the regular Toon posters (and anyone from Durham) there...

Well im a toon supporter as much as anyone on this board, and have as much right to be. the fact is this isnt about football. its about slagging a city and its people. which includes me.

so whats the difference. i have nothing against anyone from the area as thats where my roots lie and i have alot of family still up there so i have no reason to insult, im just saying judging by the attitudes witnessed on this board im glad i was brought up in hull.

It's still not as nice as Beverley. A proper town, and genuinely pleasant and beautiful too. ;)

Beverley is nice but some people can be pretty snooty but not all.

Im from the east of hull. and some people may be surprised but living for 22 years on one of the so called worst estates i dont recall once being burgled assaulted, stabbed, threatend by a smackhead. i think one of the worst crimes close to me was my neighbor having his fishing rod stolen. shocking... the youth of today eh!

All you need now is a local southern fried chicken shop and off licence to have been robbed at roughly the same time and the list of possible suspects narrows greatly...

'Rob a fish and you'll eat for a day, rob a fishing rod and you'll eat for a year'

That's what i call intelligent burglary!
