It wants to be out at every game and there are no empty seats at some of them, they can't put it on the segregation netting and it's better that it gets a permanent home.
Whatever. It really shouldn't be this difficult for them to sort. How long have we had it now.... 6 weeks or so? ****ing absurd.
The club doesn't give a ****e about the banner or the fans in general. That's the crux of the matter. The employees will make all the right noises and apologise profusely when things go wrong but the club don't give a ****.
The club do not have a real system in place for very large banners. Hopefully lessons have been learnt by all involved and we can make it not only easier, but quicker in the future.
Do the club have any systems when it comes to the club and fans or anything for that matter? AA doesn't even know what the clubs called, if he's keeping the club, selling the club or giving it away so how are the rest of them suppose to know what they are doing.....did I just answer my own question in a round about way...
Why don't we just run up a few smaller ones and just carry them in and hang them over the seat entrances? Then we can have all the ones listed on the poll.
Piss poor by the club which ever way you look at it, bit odd that some seem to be defending them. The club knew how big it was going to be before it was even made. It was put up once, not in an ideal place but it could have stayed there until a better place was found. If nothing else it could have been passed around the crowd before the game kicked off, then collected and put away plenty of other clubs do that. And while i'm on a rant, that Lambert out bedsheet was it elf and safety approved and within regulation dimensions ? I didn't see the jobsworth stewards rushing to check.
Tell you what, why don't you sort it out with the club if you can do better! Mistakes were made and hopefully these are being addressed. DMD is giving up his own time and going to the KC to attend a meeting and get the banner in place.
Balkan tiger "Piss poor by the club which ever way you look at it, bit odd that some seem to be defending them."
From what i have seen on here the fans have bent over backwards to sort this, in particular DMD, the guy who did the design, and the makers. The CLUB have ****ed up, it's weeks now and they can't get their fingers out and sort it. WHY ?
Did y Did you get a reply to your e-mail that you were going to send and then said you would wait till after the tranfer deadline because they were busy ?
Dutch has been one of the harshest critics of the club on this thread, so I don't know why you've made that connection, but hey-ho.
I didn't make that connection. I know Dutch was the one who did all the hard work and in no way whatsoever was I critisising him. I just had a feeling that some or someone was being more than generous towards the club, didn't have a name or names in mind ( this thread goes back a while )
I can more than understand the frustrations. My personal view is, abusing the club staff involved, or trying for a witch hunt would be counter productive. I'd rather look to see what the obstacles are and see if they can be addressed. Once we've done that, we're in a position to see if it's worthwhile reviewing where the blockages occurred so we can learn for the future, but not to use as a stick to hit anyone. The banner is a gesture of support from the fans to the team. It brought a decent bit of unity between different groups. It'd be productive if we could extend that unity to the staff. That's just my opinion. I've been wrong before, so I have no problem at all listening to other views. I'ΔΊ certainly consider them. It's a joint effort after all.
I never expected a direct reply. DMD has it in hand now and I do not know if anything that I did had any direct influence, in fact I doubt it as with all of these things, what is important to you and me may not be seen as such by others. The club is working with DMD on this and what happened has to be water under the bridge. The hope is that the banner we have and the banner that is in design will find semi permanent homes (when and if SB leaves etc).
Oh, that's good! Can they buy one off the internet, a system for large banners. Come on TOM, tell us all, you're pulling our legs gently.
Some proper bollocks on here; the club's not working with anyone, which is why this conversation has taken this turn. The club is **** and it gets worse by the day; I feel sorry for the poor sods who have to toe-the-line.
