I think people generally are being far too optimistic about what money will be spent as a result of the new Premier League deal, I don't expect we'll spend £20m on anyone, never mind someone who hasn't yet proven themselves in the Premier League.

As I said, we spunked 10m on an unproven Hernandez - he'd done nothing other than second division Italy, but I am being very wishful, I'm a bit worried we'll be scraping around in the bargain basement.

We've only got one decent winger for each side at the moment, we've got Clucas and Maloney who could stand in, but neither are really wingers.

A lot will depend on what formation we plan to play next season, but if it's 4-4-2 we definitely need wingers.
 
Yeah we definitely need better wide players. Elmo should be depth, not starting XI, and Clucas hasn't proven enough to be starting on the left.

It's very easy to spend someone else's money isn't it!! This isn't a computer game ffs.

Unproven? Abel is a full international for Uruguay, hardly one of the worlds worst international teams! Its similar to a team in Italy taking a punt on Rashford, hardly bad business

I'd say spending 10m on rashford to move to Italy is the definition of risky.

Why do you need to be so controversial all the time. It's the Hull City transfer thread ffs. It's where people past the time and have opinions, If you don't like it don't ****ing read it, Job done!!!

Hmmm true, it just seemed as though we had enough, but when you look at it, it really isn't. I think because we had few injuries there last season it didn't show.
Even so I still wouldn't put it as a major problem at the moment, obviously if someone becomes available then that may change. Same at CB.
For me cover at RB/LB preferably 1 player who could cover both, although the kids coming through might help. CM cover. Wingers cover & striker as the priority!

I'm not trying to be controversial, but just pointing out (obviously not very well!) that it's someone else's money that posters are spending & there is not an unlimited pot available. Some of the figures (£20m +) are, in my opinion, unrealistic for a club of our size and means.
