RB isnt his only position of course. It would be an easy profit. Unless we think that Bradley is really worth 7 million pounds and 87,000 pounds a week? US teams will buy US internationals for silly prices and use them as DP players just like they did for Altidore as well.
Perhaps, I just don't think yedlin would want to move to us. He'll be starting for Sunderland.

True. What I would have done was sell Odubajo for the silly prices being tossed around and then buy Yedlin. I would make him our starter and then take the profit and put it towards the striker we are going to have to buy. I dont think our weakness is going to be RB this season and I dont see much difference between Yedlin and Odubajo myself.

I'd rather the player we already know links up well with our defence. I don't think anyone is seriously going to spend upwards of 5m on odubajo.

think we probably need to stick with players that fit the bill in blending with our squad & style of play. We saw how hard it was for Abel to adapt to cold & language, so maybe lets go for a Scot / Irish lad or a foreigner with PL exp. In this example (Irish, Scot) they would perhaps already be at home in the squad. Think it has been a successful theme over Bruce's reign.

If we continue with 1 up top and another playing just off him in the Diame mold, means we need another Hernandez type, another Diame type minimum.

Or, for when we go regular 442, a hold up player to compliment Hernandez, like jela did for Long & vica versa, deano & frazier. Could see Lambert being that guy. He may even score from a header instead of only Elmo at the back post ..would he be in the 10m range? Then there is maybe a Cameron jerome type or someone returning from injury who had a good year in 2014/15 but didnt light the world on fire this season gone.

Some of the Newcastle / Sunlan buys who have flopped may come good within a together squad and a gaffer that excels in man management - you don't lose talent, just attitude & application.

Do we need an enforcer in defensive midfield? THudd has the skillset, Meyler & Livermore the work ethic. Some one like a Jedinak would bring a bit of steel in, however he is captain at Palace, could be hard to move.

Lambert was sold to Liverpool for 5m, and then joined WBA for 3m. I think he'd definitely cost us less than 10m.

Jedinak is nearly 32 now, whilst he's not past it he's no spring chicken now. Great player mind.

Jedinak started his career quite late though, so his body should still be up to it for another 2-3 years.

Wonder what will happen at Everton with the likelihood that Koeman will go there? I wouldn't mind a midfielder like James McCarthy signing for us if he ever became available.

Can you sort out this transfer Elle?
