funnily I’ve gone the other way :D. I think we need a right winger not a lefty.
I would be more inclined to agree but Roberts is one of our highest assist contributors so I wouldn’t see us going for one. Unless Poveda really is this unreliable

Depends on the fitness/prognosis of the players we own imo. I’m worried about finding enough minutes for both Mundle and Watson in the run-in right now. If one/both are worse off than we thought it might change things. If we have both back by Feb then we have no need for another option wide left.

For those sating cash in on Patto and that he doesn't "command his box"

Can you offer some keepers that do command their box and do everything you hope our keeper can do. Preferably ones at the top of their game so I can see what the finished article is meant to be
The lads on here think Patto is that **** we should get rid of him in the window and then say Spurs want him.<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

That’s an exaggeration / over simplification. I think people are saying that if Spurs want him for £10m+ we should cash in. Being willing to sell him doesn’t make him ****.

Much in the same way if somebody bids £50m for Rigg I think we’d be right to accept that as well.

Or even if somebody bids £100m for Jobe we would except that, except for one small thing none of them are going to happen.

Ultimately I think we just need our current players back really. A genuinely dangerous player like Mundle on the left will help immensely when he is back. Same with getting Browne back soon enough. If Samed is actually fit and ready in the next few weeks then that should help us immensely as well. If we are to use Aouchiche then I'm not sure we actually need an additional midfielder unless they are a step above. Personally, assuming all the above happens, I'd be targeting a versatile forward, a more direct goalscoring RW and a versatile Full back who can play on both sides comfortably. Anything else would need to be an Amad-style loan really.

Except Spurs are heavily linked to Patto. £10m to them for an English backup keeper is good value. As it would be for us selling him as we could use that money to buy an equivalent or better keeper for this level PLUS a player in another position.

For me Moore has done enough to show he can cover until Young is ready to be starting. I'd like to leave him on loan now he's getting regular games so if Patterson were to leave in January I'd look at getting another Moore type in as short term cover.

Regarding Patterson he looks like he's put muscle on but all it's achieved is to make him less mobile, not seen any improvement in commanding the box and he's still too quiet in general. Distribution isn't any better than it was a couple of years ago. I'd sell if we get a solid offer.

Well we haven’t long to wait, let’s see what happens. I thought Moore did a good job when he stood in.

If Patterson to Spurs were to happen, would people be ok with recalling Young and having him battle Moore for the starting spot? Or would you want to sign a goalkeeper?
I'd have Moore in for the remainder of the season and recall young as No2. Playing him a few games. If you're good enough, you're old enough.

Aye. Playing class and getting lots of attention. Making solid saves and having an impact on their back line. Very vocal and organising. Going to be the boyo. I honestly can see Young pushing for a start here by the time August comes around.
City scouts were watching him again on Sunday, they are huge fans of his - already had a couple bids rejected over the last 2 yrs
