Yes it matters and it's also fundemental fans of a club are kept updated with what is actually happening.
It makes zero sense securing a takeover (that fans have literally cried out for) to then, not mention it once done. RAWA have already had meetings pushed back with the club admitting a takeover is being negotiated so it wouldn't make any logical sense to just not saying anything.

Exactly they might have had a long term plan. nobody knows, there certainly wont be one now if they have walked away which to me would be a shame. The more billionaires with an interest in the club going forward the better

Its way more complicated than though aint it. You could list a million reasons why they would not want to buy us now. That could of quiet easily changed though the further we went up the leagues. It would of been nice to find out
