Not a good start, he's going to be embarrassed and humiliated in the dressing room. It will put him off his game.

Tend to agree the only word of caution i have is, that in his time at Blackburn he was in a team with some decent attacking players around him, pleased with his arrival, but the jury's out and that's down to the owner and manager. The Smallwood signing is quite good IMO!
Work-rate and endeavour is fine but is he any good. They could play me and I'd run my socks off, try my hardest and still be completely useless.Lancs.Live "His work-rate and endeavour were valued by fans and his stint in goal against West Brom in 2018 further endeared him to the Rovers faithful." Back up goalie ??
But has had 201 games in the Championship. We'll have to waitWork-rate and endeavour is fine but is he any good. They could play me and I'd run my socks off, try my hardest and still be completely useless.
Edit: Just looked, he started 2 cup games last season and was subbed in both. That's it.
I don't think we target injured players.... I think some players we've targeted have had fitness levels below what we should be prepared to accept. Could blame the medical professionals though.....Not really, we seem to target injury prone players/players that have had long term injuries because they're cheap.
