Alonso is the most complete in my opinion. I really highly rate Brundle and I think he is very fair and he refers to Alonso as the most complete package.

Also I don't think Vettel's tyre management is that good. When you are in the lead with little pressure it is easier to look after tyres, some will point to Monaco but that is a very unique circuit. I think Silverstone showed that when under pressure he is only average and Alonso was easier on his tyres while in the lead.

I couldn't be arsed going through all the posts (it's late).

Most complete driver ? Has to be Alonso of the current crop, with possibly Button second.

Quickest would be Hamilton, but that don't neccessarily translate into points !

Hamilton is my no.1, but even I accept he has faults.

I voted Alonso, I believe he is the most complete package on the grid at the moment

Thats not really mental fragility more how he chooses to express his frustration. It may not have much decorum but waving angrily at a driver is a better way of dealing with frustration and releasing it than bottling it up in the cockpit and ending your race through rash actions

It may be so, but for the fans it makes it exciting watching a driver go one handed through a chicane or whatever. Going to that case of Abu Dhabi 2010, I can understand his reaction and it was normal and he apologised.

Wonder who voted Michael Schumacher <laugh>

Since most complete driver on the grid is a title that will probably change yearly, I'll abstain from voting <ok>

While I don't believe any driver is 'complete' Alonso has to be the best all round. The drivers say it,the commentators say it and the team bosses say it.

That was me, but based on his performances when he was in his prime. He was solid all round.

I laugh at this type of article because the concept of "most complete driver" is so childishly ridiculous.

We have actually been asked to evaluate a driver for "mechanical durability" WHAT?

Why do people watch F1? Now that is a question worth asking.

Lol... nope. Guilty as charged, and here's my reasoning.

Of our current crop of champions, we have an extremely diverse array of talents. Each has an aspect of their game that gives them an edge in certain circumstance and in many ways, these differences are what make for amazing racing... I just don't see any as "complete" nor do I think "complete" means best.

Schumacher on the other hand, he may be past is best, but I never actually remember seeing him in a situation where I though "Well... Schumacher is going to struggle here." It was always more of a case of "What's Schumacher going to pull out of the hat this time". Like him or not... He was a driver that could never be written off...and still may be...
