For me it is Fernando Alonso, this season he has remained quiet but calculating, he has kept to himself behind the massive fog of Hamilton vs Vettel vs Button and the other on track battles, I only noticed that after the Spa Grand Prix he was the best non-RedBull Driver out there in terms of WDC points. In my opinion he deserves a whole lot more respect, for keeping his Ferrari on the track and out of the barriers and gaining consistent results in the hard times the team is in at the moment. I enjoy watching him pulling off fantastic maneuvers, as well as taking them on the chin through Eau Rouge, but that is part of racing, he said he was disappointed not making the podium, but I reckon he should remain happy and carry on bringing decent results home in the shadow of the RedBull era. A talented driver in a fantastic team.
Alonso is very weak defensively, it's too easy to over-take, he let hamilton round the outside in nurburging and Webber through eau rouge, although it could be said that as both are a bit hari kiri overtaking and maybe the decision of taking a place drop or being shunted crossed his mind.
Alonso put up more of a fight against Button in Canada. Maybe he learned from that experience when someone makes a clean pass on you it is better not to try and ram them off the road.
Mate I hate to say, it is comments like yours that provokes crap in the first place, this thread is fine.
Provoke? you mean bring up truths that people dont really want to talk about and get all defensive about it? I'm saying posts like this do get out of control because I saw the little rating games going on at the start...
