Could there be a scenario whereby any cards seen on fans entering the stadium are confiscated? This is Allams we're talking about...
I think the stewards would have a job. Remember the banner during the name change campaign. The East stand nearly erupted.
They're only allowed to take things off you if they breach stadium rules and a piece of paper obviously doesn't. They could maybe come up with some bullshit excuse, like littering, but it's unlikely and they didn't bother previously.
People struggle to get this...you can join when you want and leave when you want. All this fuss people have kicked up about already paying two installments, whilst others are only joining now and not paying till the end of August reflects this. You wouldn't join a gym membership scheme and not go for two months. The only advantage of joining early was to secure your seats/move to a different zone. The people joining now don't pay any more just have less of a selection of where to sit (although looking at the green available seats still loads available in most of the ground).
I was thinking Velcro... Id been looking at flag material on e bay which I was asking about people with sewing skills..
I believe the Trust are looking at doing some banners, but there's nothing to stop people doing their own (though the minute you start making it bigger than the permitted size, you give them a reason to remove it).
I assume you were asking about Trust membership rather than the club's membership scheme. There isn't an auto renew facility but you can join as a life member which takes away the job of renewing
I think is was Sir Ben who said before the red card protest last season, if they try to confiscate anything from you just ask for an official receipt so you can reclaim your things after the game. Excellent idea.
Yes, thanks, and good. I'd hate to think I was financing protests when we're having such an excellent pre season results wise.
Nah, I was told repeatedly on this and CI board that there was nothing HDM and RH could / should do. Of course they should be doing something like this. The point being made was NEVER about "how can we get comment from the owners when they won't talk to us". As Burns disgracefully yet again repeated even last night. It was about coming off the fence, no, correction, it was about stopping backing the Allams, and then taking whatever actions they could (like this and a thousand more possibilities) to question and highlight the madness and wrongness of what has been happening for far too long within our club. The HDM and RH have let the area down massively. They should be utterly embarrassed and ashamed.
Have you seen how much advertising the Club With No Name is doing with the HDM at the moment? Sadly this means there's no way they'll take an anti Allam stance.
And you'll no doubt get slaughtered again Driff by the usual suspects, but I agree. RH & HDM have been positively supine throughout the Allams tenure at City, especially in recent weeks. Investigative journalism, difficult questions? They could have given the supporters (their customers -listeners/readers) more of a platform. Pah!
Driff can't get his head round this, what he expects is totally unrealistic. That said, the HDM are letting the Trust write a column and RH have Geoff Beilby on all the time.
That's their way around it, they can say it's not the paper's stance and they dont take editorial control of the column allowing the Trust to write what it wants.
