It's a local rag, dependent on advertising from local businesses, expectations are therefore unrealistic.

But feel free to keep whining on about it anyway, if it makes you happy.

So, is the revenue from City's adverts vital for the HDM? Or would they lose loads of others if they were critical of the Allams?

I do think there would be a benefit in clarity about what exactly is being protested about...but only because there are so many things to choose from!

The red card one was clearly about trying to stop the membership scheme being introduced, so what exactly is the main focus this time ? ( I may have missed something though to be fair)

Careful, you'll be abused as an Allam apologist next.

It could have been a tad less vague couldn't it.

For clarity, what is the actual aim of the protest?

The op says it's 'against the way the club is run' which is a tad vague.

It'll be interesting to see what the other bits of the protest are, as the cards work okay for making people think they're involved, but in reality, they didn't work for the membership scheme.

All in all, fair play to the trust for doing something, but I can't help feeling they'd hae made a stronger point about fans being involved in discussions, if they'd have done the same themselves.

No doubt I'll get the usual abuse for having an opinion on how a protest could be made more effective.

Isn't the point of the trust so organise these things on behalf of its membership? It says members have been emailing them etc. with ideas which is surely the fans being involved?

If the fans have to all gather in a big room everytime something needs discussing they'd never be at work.

It doesn't have to be a big room. If the email argument, or reading of web sites works, the Allams could claim the same.

Lol I'm not the only one who had no clue what you were on about.

earier, was too difficult to work out meant "earlier, so I've edited it, just for you two. Hopefully, that can avoid tedious diversions. <ok>

Or maybe not, see below for a like hunting diversion. <doh>

I just can't imagine why the club won't speak to some people. .

Thinking about it... For those who refuse to enter the stadium on August 13 but under normal circumstances would have.. who's up for donating one match ticket money to help with the cause. I'd be happy to.

INFACT... just looking http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/hobbycraft-a4-red-card-75-pack/562239-1003

Are these any good...?

That seems expensive, If your local you could try getting in touch with a local paper merchant G F Smith which is close to town if you say its for the protest hopefully might give special prices.

Have you seen how much advertising the Club With No Name is doing with the HDM at the moment? Sadly this means there's no way they'll take an anti Allam stance.

That doesn't explain why the BBC haven't fully reported, pressed or asked the harsher questions when they have had the opportunity to.

The HDM really cant do anything at all but the way Humberside and Look North creep around the subject is pathetic. Since 2009 the Premier League have stated that pre and post match interviews with rights holders are mandatory as well as access to reporters for commentary and updates so they wouldn't lose out on coverage.

Don't those rules only apply to TV broadcasters?

I assumed not as Talksport and Radio 5 Live were specifically mentioned when they granted wider access in 2013 and clubs had to release a player for 2 hours a week for interviews with rights holders.

I could be wrong though.

The 2013 article I read specified the two hours a week etc, but specifically mentioned that it related to Sky, BT and Premier League TV.

The problem with Dutch's points, is that the banana of the sanctimony is true to pigeon of the obsequiousness.

Do you see what I'm pencil sharpening?

Does that translate to "nobody's mentioned seat moves, which is the reason the majority of people are stopping going, for a couple of days"?

Good luck with the protests lads, got a great chance to make an early statement kicking off the season hosting the Champions.

Maybe you could do something like Charlton did and throw mass amounts of beach/tennis balls onto the pitch at a certain time? Will delay the game with the entire world watching and give the commentators no choice but to mention reasons. Would also probably bring a fine to your owners too.

It's never nice to see a club with **** owners and we've sufferred ourselves with that in not too distant past, so again all the best <cheers>
