True enough in most of The Manufacturing Sector.
However a substantial part of UK PLC's income comes from Finance an Services.
That can translate as the skill and brains of the people in those sectors. And they are here already.
Funny how all the Out camp have no chance of implementing their thoroughly thought out exit plans. What do the out voters think of that?

We have .we voted out .we looked at the situation we were in and decided we wanted out of it.me personally i cant get my head round how thousands (approximately 10 thou ) beurocrats are on more money than our prime minister.
And by the way iv never stamped my feet and had a hissy fit and shouted at my dad because his generation voted in!
Obviously I can speak for only myself.
I voted OUT despite the bunch of weird and disparate characters fronting the Brexit Campaign.
I can not think of any one of them I would trust, and subsequent events have merely confirmed my view.
In essence I made up my own mind and from the discussions I've had with others, I was by no means alone in this.
I guess that most of the In voters will have done the same, rather than follow, sheep like, The Press and in some cases, reluctant Politicians.
I voted out as well. The EU is headed for a federal state and I don't want us to be part of it. It already has a president, a parliament, a civil service, a bank and its own currency. All it needs now is a military and a police force and there you have it. It already negotiates treaties as a political entity, is opening embassies and the bureaucrats in Brussels haven't even asked the citizens of the EU if that's what they want! Do they want it? Well, the Yugoslavians didn't want a supranational identity and neither did the Czechoslovakians. The Catalonians want out of Spain and the Scots want out of the UK. Yet the EU wants to push them all together at the same time. Good luck with that one, Mr Juncker.
Worse still, you can't have political union until you have fiscal union. Not only does that mean us joining the Euro, but it means handing over control of taxation, budgeting and interest rates to the EU. Ask the Greeks, Spanish, Portuguese, etc. how well that's going. You can't simply shoe-horn a bunch of disparate economies into a one-size-fits-all straightjacket and expect it to end well. And all new EU members have to join the Euro whether they want to or not. So we'll be seeing Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Turkey lumped in too.
So, we have a political union no-one has asked for underwritten by a monetary union that won't work. Terrific...

i'm no political expert but can somebody correct me if i'm wrong.........
.......so the SNP were pushing for independence which would have resulted in them having to volunteer to leave the EU where they would have had no guarantee of being allowed back in. They lost that vote but are now seeking independence over the fact that they are having to leave anyway as a result of another democratic vote. There must be 100's of thousands of Scots who voted to stay in the UK AND to leave the EU and are still faced with their 'leader' ignoring them despite winning 2 referendums. Doesn't seem right to me.

We were in Fife last week on a short break and the lady whose B & B we stayed at and have known for a number of years described Sturgeon as a very dangerous woman politically wise, she said non of her friends had any faith in her and even though she voted to remain didn't want a second referendum and was happy to accept the majority vote won the day.
I don't understand how Sturgeon can go on the way she is other than the SNP have such a majority, there is no one up there to shout her down.
Is that directed at me or just a generalised swipe at free speech? Either way, democracy when it suits eh?

There's been twattery on both sides TBH. But the daftest thing I've seen is that petition demanding at least a 75% turnout for a result to be valid. That way on a close-run vote like the EU referendum, the Remain camp would have won by simply not voting!
But that doesn't mean they have to be mute. Should you be even voting when you can't grasp the basics of democracy? You should be enjoying the victory but you come across quite bitter, you're spitting your dummy and you've won
. People can speak up for what they want whether you like it or not, for any cause they choose within the law. That's democracy for you.
