I've not been trying to convince anybody.

My original post was something of an aside that any prolonged period of a low £ would at least be somewhat beneficial to our Balance of Payments.

What's followed has been an explanation of this idea.

That's fair enough, it looks like you're searching for a silver lining but in my assessment, this certainly isn't one, regardless of how you've worded your explanation.

The silver lining will most likely be seen much further down the line, if the process of leaving is handled competently. In fact, it won't be a silver lining, it'll be a silver cloud.

I didn't vote and never do these days, whether it's a general election or any kind of referendum.

I take whatever comes along and don't moan about the consequences, I simply live in a Smug little bubble where I make my own rules as far as I can.

This may not be popular, or responsible, or whatever but I've given up trying to wade through all the lies and propaganda.

I didn't understand a bloody thing, through all the TV coverage, and I don't believe the politicians did either.

In my opinion none of them have a clue what happens next ........ I'll just whistle and get back to the football <whistle>

Very true, great post. <bubbly>

A Rolls Royce of a post. :emoticon-0100-smile

In searching for a silver lining I'm well aware that, --- 'every silver lining has a bloody great black cloud wrapped round it'
