He's not quite right on Monaco, I don't believe. He won the title in his first full season in charge ('99/'00), but it appears he managed all of the '00/'01 season as well, and was let go at the end of the season when they tumbled to 11th. He's only managed in the French League which is so so weak. I have massive doubts over his ability to adapt to managing in the PL. If he was joining a bottom half team then maybe but he's going to have to get us in the top 10 at least, plus get us into the EL knockout stages. If he proves me wrong I'll be happy but surprised.
