I think they thought putting it up for sale would worry us. Now they've realised it's exactly what we wanted them to do.
This is making me really nervous, it looked like they were going to sell. Now they might not? Even when they're passive they're able to piss us off, it's uncanny.
Maybe there's a fear that membership applications will drop when we find out who the new owners are, so they want the current regime in place for a bit yet.
Personally I think Nostradamus Filey should take a bow, after all he predicted the Allam's current move if we got promoted to the PL. Our promotion is certainly beginning to have a feeling of bitter sweet now. ****s!
Personally, I want to see more than a vague article in the HDM before I'm convinced that they're either staying or going.
Too right - all that is happening at the moment is speculation upon speculation. Time will reveal all.
True. Plus, even with their takeover in 2010, wasn’t it reported that the deal was off just prior to it being confirmed?
Nor me, £170 million coming in and interest on the debt. I recall their other businesses were not quite as successful recently, so this money will be welcome. If they stay I can see them spending **** all and bruce leaving.
That's all fine. I'm not going to argue with you about that. My comment was aimed at well, pretty much everyone but you. Your Pearson thing and the reasoning behind it is an exceptional case.
The problem for Ehab is his father's legacy. If Hull City's fortunes take a dive as he takes £80 million out of the club that will be what the Allams will be remembered for. At the minute the legacy that matters to them is 2 promotions, a FA Cup final and a European campaign. If Ehab stays he'd want to show the world that he's has good as his father if not better.
It's fairly obvious he's not that bothered about legacy, he's deliberately pissing everyone off as often as possible.
I personally wouldn't have a problem with Pearson being the face of an investment group. He certainly knows more about football than the current incumbents, and would surely reverse the branding and membership scheme.
As the Allams hate AP, I'd rather it was another deal that was the front runner, it makes it far more likely that a deal will be done.
