Even if he didnt intend to get him in the eye, but he still went for his face, which is a straight red card offence.

Yes, it is. And I'm sure he'll get a ban.

I don't know why, but I do find it a little galling reading sermons about how players should behave from Chelsea fans.

I don't know why that should be??

Why?
If Costa had struck one of your players in the face, I would be sat here saying he should have been sent off.
I don't control how Costa acts. If he acts like a prick, I'll say it how I see it, and have done often.

I've played football and I enjoyed nothing more than raking my studs down some cheeky bastards calf after he thought he was a funny bastard somewhere during the match.

If you do it to someone just because you think you can, that is what makes you a ****.

So that makes you a **** then

If Costa's head was moving - entirely likely in that sort of situation - then it is feasible that Dembele didn't intend to go for his eyes. As I say, he's not that type of player.

<laugh> such deluded crap

Still you have to remember that these are the same people that used to claim Bale was 'jumping out of the way of a leg breaking tackle' when he used to cheat and dive at Spurs.

I'd expect nothing less from you. Always guilty until proven innocent, for you, with anything to do with Spurs.

What I've conjectured in entirely possible

wow, these spurs fans are acting like the leicester fans when vardy got his additional ban... didn't think the club bias was going to be happening so soon though....

So you're admitting that clattenburg should have sent at least one Spurs player off then.
He should've sent off about 10 players or actually got control of the game early on, which is his bloody job.
Appalling referee.

Dembele, Walker, Rose and Dier all could've gone, as could Ivanovic, Willian, Mikel and Costa.
The last twat threw his elbow at Vertonghen twice and then put his head in on him, too. I doubt he'll even be punished.
Fabregas also spent the post-match celebration trying to fondle our players' and staff's balls, apparently.
That's got to be some sort of card, but I'm not sure that they've introduced a pink one, yet.

Dembele has not admitted that he intended to injure Costa. It looked more like a playground fight. Keane freely admitted that he intended to cripple Haaland.

There lies the big difference!

Seriously? ... so if Huth doesn't admit that he 'intended' to pull Felaini's hair then he has no case to answer? ... super <laugh> ... and please don't go on about 'previous' ... completely irrelevant in terms of proving the offence itself .... relevant in determining the length of the penalty.certainly.

Whatever the provocation, I can see no mitigating grounds for eye-gouging I'm afraid ... deplorable.

It's Diego Costa. Dembele should be given the footballing equivalent of a Get Out Of Jail Free card! <laugh>

So Dembele eye-gouged you too.

... yes ... but he told me he didn't intend to ... he thought I had a fallen eyelash in the corner of my eye and was merely intending to remove it before it became irritating ... he whispered "... you don't want to risk conjunctivitus" ... which I understand is similar to what he was saying to Diego <laugh>

Cut the bollocks! There's a world of difference between hair pulling and deliberately trying to cripple another player - which, incidentally, Keane succeeded in doing!

In short, Chelsea started it. We wouldn't be intimidated. Twattenburg lost comlplete control, and the whole thing descended into a brawl.

As I, and PNP have said, we accept our players lost their heads, but those who think that happened without extreme provocation from Cheleas's players are talking crap.

Hiddink and some of the Chelsea players wound the Spurs team up to **** in the papers and in the build up to the game, it might have been out of character for Dembele to try and scoop a fellow player's eye out of natural home in his skull like it was an oyster but Spurs have never fought for the title since Admiral Nelson had two eyes so have never had to be wound up by the opposition the way they were at the bridge.
Should they be in a similar position in the coming seasons they will be a lot wiser.:emoticon-0105-wink:
