With the girl from Clapham.....

I still have that on 45 somewhere - one of the very few things I inherited from a doomed relationship with a nymphomaniac from Withywood.......

I had it on purple (or rather lilac) coloured vinyl....but what actually happened to it is another matter

The words Withywood and Nymphomaniac aren't a combination I've heard before !

I always used to like Jools Holland but my son in law had to refuse to serve him at a busy bar cos he was such a cock giving it all the "don't you know who I am" ...yes he actually said that ....wanted to jump to the front of the queue, giving it large in front of all his hangers on. When told to wait his turn he did one.

Anyway back on topic .......Junior ....liked him as a player but no thanks

She was an essential lesson in life for me.
I loved her - worshipped her - cried over her - hated her - now I appreciate her. She was 'necessary' and taught me loads. A worldly-wise urban woman who dragged a Dundry-born sheltered country bumpkin into adulthood.
I'm glad I never married her though ;)

After the initial bubble I really had my heart set on Pearson or Moyes (from a football management perspective only of course). 40 odd applicants, 'we underestimate the pulling power of this club', etc. If we end up with LJ then that just shows that sacking SC to get to the Premier League was nonsense.

I couldn't agree more but Mark Ashton joined after that quote, I think, so we can't tar him with that quote..

so, having been prepared to pay £6-9 million for a Striker we then go for the cheap option <doh>

Hardly inspiring, we're in a relegation fight and the board aim for a manager with NO championship managerial experience whatsoever - doesn't make sense one bit to me.

will get behind him regardless and you never know, he may shock everyone but this looks like we're preparing to go down - hope to God I'm totally wrong!
