He was a very nice lad who was saddled with being the manager's son, never a pleasant place to be unless you are winning most weeks.

Without wanting to open that particular can of worms (again), surely even SL must realise that at best LJ was very definitely a marmite character here so this would create a BIG rift in our fan base with both sides probably engaging in open BB warfare - which is exactly what we don't need right now.

I always thought LJ gave his all on the pitch, thought he was a player that played for the red shirt,at present the job is to soon.
May be in the future.

In time maybe if he proves himself, but not right now, it is too soon for him to come back here after the issues with his dad, plus he hasn't done enough yet as a manager to warrant a shot at a Championship club, even one in the bottom 3.

If it were LJ I would expect everyone to give him a chance - the same would apply to Warnock, Holloway or any other contencious appointment

I had no issue with Lee when he was here. It wasn't his fault that his Father was in charge.

I'd welcome Neil Warnock but have to conclude it looks like Pemberton, who I don't really want.

I love Glen Hoddle to have a go, he is head and shoulders above some of the names being discussed..
Why on earth would he want it ?
Hoddle has been the national icon, both as player AND as manager.
He has nothing at all to prove to anybody

For me, Pearson or Moyes (or Warnock but I can't see him coming here for some reason).
Other than that, the same thing that we do with the best players from League 1, only this time with the up-and-coming managers.
Don't want Ollie or Pembs, or Johnson Jr who has achieved very little so far

Warnock has been desperate for the City job for not far off ten years now. It's a relatively common fact, given that he lives in Looe, Cornwall, and has been very complimentary about us in his book, describing us as a proper football club with a good chairman.

And fans that punch him!

I know my opinion will not matter one iota to the Board but I never want another Johnson near Ashton Gate again.

I would be another appointment for the boys like ?Tinnion, Millen, Pemberton, if he gets it and now Johnson the bookies favourite.

None suited to the profile that SL has said he wants. The Prem in five years.

Oh dear - the silly lad must have a self-destruct wish to come to us.

The 'Johnson out' banners will be dug out of their dusty corners on his first day in the dugout before a ball is kicked.
