Wrong ...... ante post betting and football betting and live race betting are 3 different animals... your comment holds up for live betting when a bookie sets his percentage like he wants to make 20% or 30% on a race. eg one bookie might have a "horse" at 6/4 fav next door it is 7/4 or 2/1... the reason being they need to attract money because someone has a bet on a horse at say 7/2 that will lose on the book.. so they get the bet at 7/4 and they are in balance or on their percentage .... the bookie doesnt give a toss who will win as long as at the end of the day they make their percentage football odds there are always only 3 runners so they have to guess the odds in advance .. when I do the betting I sometimes have to guess as they haven't put them up and I am no bookie but usually pretty close ! they make their money because people always need to do multiples to make any serious return managers come under "ante post" Same bookie has 2 managers at odds on ! how does that work .. .. ! yes they do have to be careful and balance the books but the field is massive and very manipulated .. out of 20+ names only 1 winner ... eg MOYSEY 6/1 drifts to 25/1 junior 25/1 drifts to 5/6 at different points they stick in a new one! so peeps think sh** I better cover my bet and so can have 2 or 3 bets with the likelihood they may guess the winner!

The club must know how it is perceived by its supporters and the managers which are not deemed as appropriate. Given this ongoing procrastination I suggest that Pemberton is going to be the safe appointment i.e. the one least likely to cause offence. All in all January has been a PR nightmare
People like SL are so thick skinned he won't give a toss what we think. The last few years has seen a series of preventable PR nightmares, what with Sextone and co.
