Bury ticket update

i used to watch rovers despite being based in west hull because two pals were rovers they also used to go to city . This being the early 80s it was at a time when city were pretty ****e and hull had the two best rugby league teams in the country.
I also went to hull Vikings in the days of Ivan major and bobby Beaton though to be honest I found it pretty boring ( bar the crashes ) but in those days early to mid 70s it was a novelty and did not clash with city.
In one respect of course people were likely to follow other sports and the city was blessed with decent teams in sport other than football.
The truth today however is that we have a more than half decent football team rugby is a summer sport and speedway has died a death
I believe that the only reason city are not selling out the KC is due to the ticket price .
I've little doubt if / when we go up well get back the missing thousands lured by the glamour of the premier league
In the meantime I think it's great it POTD at bury I suspect we'll take well in excess of 3,000 maybe closer to 4,000 and unlike at say the etihad or SJP we won't be stuck up in the gods great day out awaits curry and beer down rusholme tram to bury old school atmosphere cracking cup tie city win buy a pound of bury black pudding home for the high lights bliss

I am similar age and prefer to stand but tend to take my lead from the people behind me.
I sat most of the Fulham game but still managed to do a lot of singing , shouting and stamping. (it was a great stand for stamping)

I will be going to Bury & Burnley games, I could have taken an 11 year old and a 70 year old to both games but have avoided doing so because I cannot guarantee they will be able to fully enjoy the game.

It is about time this issue was sorted by clubs of government.

You certainly have to atke your lead from those behind you, although saying that, it constantly amazes me how many seemingly fit, younger guys prefer to sit than stand, at Preston the guys behind me were half my age and when I asked them if they were standing two of them grumbled that they'd stand if they had to (each to their own eh?).

Before retirement I used to talk with workmates who were fans of other various clubs, when we'd talk about standing/sitting they were amazed when I told them that our fans couldn't, or wouldn't, sort out for themselves to get 'sitters at the front' and 'standers at the back' - you can imagine their response when I said that we had fans who would call stewards to have their fellow fans threatened with ejection for standing! I'm afraid the joy of supporting a modern football team is slowly being sucked out of me, the day when I give City up and start following Winterton Town or Gainsborough Trinity is getting closer.

Does anybody if there is anywhere to eat around the ground (I'm a freaky eater of the vegan kind so burger vans aren't an option)? Thinking chippy, macdonalds, etc... somewhere quick and unhealthy.

I do the same , I like to stand but if everybody behind me sits I follow the majority.

ive said for years away games should be unreserved seating, in the few games it happens , common sense usually wins and the singers./standers head for the back and the ones who like to sit down go forward.
if anybody does sit right in the middle of the standers, then in unreserved seating it really does become their problem and I would just ignore them if they where behind me.
 
Supporters who haven’t pre-purchased tickets for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Bury will be able to pay on the day at Gigg Lane.

Cash turnstiles will be available in the Ratio Law (West) Stand with admission priced as follows:
£18 Adults
£12 Seniors (65+), Students, U23s, Unemployed (must show their JSA booklet on purchase and at turnstiles)
£6 Under 11s

Tickets will remain on sale in advance from Tiger Leisure at the KC Stadium until 2pm on Friday (tickets subject to a £2 booking charge).

It's chaos on the Bury board - they've supposedly only got 120 tickets left to sell, and once they've gone there's nowhere left for Bury fans to go,..... just as we've been given the West Stand as pay on the day - they aren't happy

I'm not surprised, but it's not our fault, the stuff about us requesting 5,000 tickets is bollocks.

You're not a 'freaky eater'!
Choosing to eat burgers, fried chips, kebabs with whatever in them, etc. And then washing it down with unnatural, often chemical laden fluid. That's what's freaky!
Eating fruits, vegetables, greens, nuts and the like is sensible and natural.
Man somehow lost the plot somewhere along the way (around 10 to midnight if you turn the ancestral timeline into a 24hr clock).
But you probably knew that anyway :-)

I love eating veg, eat it every day, usually with a nice chop on the side. Organic, free-range, privately educated of course...

If everyone bought them early they'd still run out. If there are more people wanting to go than tickets available it doesn't matter when they buy; some people are going to miss out.

Maybe. But there's a lot of research that suggests eating meat was critical to the growth of the human brain and why homo sapiens evolved differently to the other great apes that are almost exclusively vegetarian.
