I'd be boweled over if he did sign, but I have my doubts Seniore Immobile will be on his way to us.

It's a bit like the lift we hoped for from the Kone signing, yet we're still at ground zero on that one.

As for this Dsylexic German ****er of a defender....

Arsenal old boy Bendtner could sign for Aston Villa or Sunderland this month

German newspaper Bild say Nicklas Bendtner has told his Wolfsburg colleagues that he wants to leave the club during the current transfer window. The Danish striker can't get in the team and wants a new challenge elsewhere, and as long as they get a reasonable approach, it's clear Wolfsburg won't try and stand in the player's way.

Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet have picked the story up and pondered where he could next go. Should Bendtner wish to return to English football then Ekstra Bladet feels his options are somewhat limited.

It's stated Bendtner has no chance of clubs like Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool wanting him, and must set his sights a lot lower.

The Premier League clubs which Ekstra Bladet feel Bendtner could realistically sign for are Aston Villa, Sunderland and Bournemouth.

Even though Bendtner has a bad reputation, and the Danish newspaper say his career is in tatters, there's always the outside chance that he could turn up in England and start scoring goals for his new club, you'd have to think he'd certainly have some motivation, at least for a while.

It would be a risky throw of the dice, but at least there'd be entertainment off the pitch if not on it. A decent and welcome distraction to the actual football for those clubs fighting relegatio

Giaccherini scored the only goal today in a 1-0 win at AC Milan.

A very good player. Did very well for us as I recall.

A bit of an arsehole on silly money iirc. Still, nobody`s perfect.

I'd have Bendtner like, at times he was very good.

Seems this Gassama wants a relegation release clause, allow it for whatever fee we pay back, seems simple.

Immobile is cloud cuckoo bollocks, yes he's flopped away from Torino, but most of Serie A would take him back, and I would imagine Torino themselves will be watching.

I'm worried about the lack of links to CM, we are dog **** creativity wise. I'm seeing Bournemouth sign Iturbe & linked to El Shaarawy. ****ing Bournemouth. We have no ****ing ambition.

Yep, fell down at the contract stage. 2nd player in a week who's transfer has fallen through due to contracts. Sounds like relegation clause issues.

Do you really want players coming here for a nice pay day including signing on fees etc to not give a **** whether we stay up or go down as they can just leave anyway?

Of course not, though I must stress we don't know the ins and outs. Whispers pointing to agents being the problem with both these transfers in regards to unreasonable demands in clauses. What those are **** knows. If I had to guess I'd think it's the relegation wage cut we'll be trying to put in any contracts, if you balance that up with release fee it can create a lot of problems.

Lamine Kone's move to Sunderland AFC has fallen through, Sam Allardyce has confirmed.
The 26-year-old Ivory Coast centre-back had travelled to the North East last week to complete a medical and hold talks.

But it those talks have now broken down over a proposed £5million deal from French side Lorient.

Allardyce confirmed the news at his pre-match press conference.

The Echo reported over the weekend that there were doubts over whether the move would go ahead and Kone will not now be joining Allardyce's squad.

The defender is understood to be back in France.

The Black Cats are set to announce the arrival of Bayern Munich defender Jan Kirchhoff though for a fee around the region of £750,000.

Right. A full update from Sam.

    • Kirchhoff expected to be finalised today.
    • Kone deal fell dead over talks in Sunderland.
    • Gassama turned down contract offer before travelling over.
    • Caulker not needed now
    • Never any interest in Sandro
    • Clubs in for Graham but he'll be retained until after the Spurs game.
    • We're looking to do more business.

So there we have it. Thoughts everyone.

It's a tricky one for both club and player. I wonder what we did with Defoe whenwe signed him probably needed decent money to attract him but were there incentives built in for staying up or was a pay cut built in for relegation? But every player's attitude will be different and what will attract one won't attract another. I just hope Sam has got plenty of "good enough" alternatives to keep us up - as ingood enough to keep us up.

I would still go in for Caulker though.
