Pearson not going to Fulham, Steve Clark is ............... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ted-new-Fulham-manager-Kit-Symons-leaves.html
Even better news .................... Dim Sim Tim going to Spain. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...looks-rebuild-career-away-Premier-League.html
Sorry crossed wires... So happy for DimTim . Hammersmith Jr says Pearson is going to Ruperts.... I'm drinking towards Tim's new career... hic
Rogers has what it takes to play football like I would like to see it played . He takes average players and makes them very good Leon Britton was the best midfielder in Europe as stats go when Rogers was at Swansea Honestly I have to admire what Swansea have done as a club You really have to look where they where ... Not all Rogers of course not but on the whole I believe good football wins long term You have to have players at the back who can play IMO
How about Filippo Inzaghi? http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/filippo-inzaghi/profil/spieler/5821 Edit (6:41am 19/11): I'll take that as a no then
SSN says Pearson to Fulham Not sure what to think of Rogers, brilliant at Swansea but made a complete balls up of Liverpool spending shed loads of money doing so
I read Clarke to Fulham and Pearson to us on a thread on an Ipswich Town forum. Was just glancing over my good lady's shoulder and didn't check if it was unsubstantiated rubbish.
Liverpool massive world brand Remember they got him because of his Swansea days He couldn't handle Liverpool maybe but we ain't Liverpool
Just to confirm that talks between Fulham and Pearson have broken down at the 11th hour, and he is no longer in the running to be their manager. We had stopped taking bets on him to take over at 5pm yesterday,so I've no idea what happened for things to go awry.Steve Clarke is now 1/10 to be their new manager, which would imply that their very confident of getting him.More importantly we now have Pearson and Rogers at 5/2 joint favourites to be the next Hoops manager. The plot thickens!
Is it just me or has anyone else got to the point that it doesn't matter who takes over? I've unfortunately adopted a rather dystopic outlook on whoever is appointed.
I agree with you Ninesy. We'll throw everything at promotion in January - more experienced heads who know how to get the job done. We'll either go up and be massively short of what we need to compete and sack the manager by Christmas or we'll not go up and sack the manager in the Summer and... rebuild the team. All's left is to hope on the new man works miracles and can make a team out of detritus and sawdust. Fingers crossed... again.
Does Les still have the trots? I can only imagine how having to remain within 10ft of a toilet can be slowing the search. The cynic would say that the longer Les is I'll, the closer we get to the 'end of the month' situation.... I've got to the point where I'm convinced that whoever we reject will succeed elsewhere, and whoever we appoint will be hated if we win ugly and loved if we lose pretty. I can't wait.
On the contrary 'Nines' ....... Things are starting to look positive. The cream is starting to rise to the top. I'd be happy with Pearson but really happy with Rodgers. It's a win win for us, providing of course our Tonz and his boys don't pull one from left field and appoint a total numpty.
