The only thing that turned James Chester's head was our relegation. He would still be here otherwise. In saying that, Chester could well spend more time on the Wba bench this season than he first thought. Looking ahead a midfield 4 of Snodgrass - Maloney - Diame and Elmohamady looks outstanding.
well good news about finally tying up Maloney, hopefully can add a bit of desire and quality to proceedings. Word of caution over Nolan however, I have family who watch West Ham week in week out, they have seen Nolan for the full term of his stay, from what they are saying he should have gone last year, even when fit they describe him as being a liability now, despite having fond memories of him previously. They are suggesting a combination of aging legs and in juries have slowed him down. A couple of years ago Nolan was a terrific leader, but couple him in the middle with pedestrian pete aka Huddlestone and we`re asking for trouble.
The Big Vern blog is proving very popular. Please feel free to have a look and contribute if there is anything useful to add. The current theme is lawns and tomatoes if anyone has any expertise on these subjects.
Every time the club needs a savior the Healey`s are mentioned, some people really need to wake up and smell the roses, they aren`t, never have been and never will be interested in buying the club.
Obviously nobody on here is going to be running the club. I would accept the lack of agreement on many things. One thing I think everybody on here agrees on is that we are too ponderous in our build up. Would you agree with that or would you not?
Isn't this always the case with fans of a club as opposed to fans of other clubs? I bet that most fans of other clubs will say that Huddlestone is our best player. You need to be seeing a player week in week out rather than watching them on match of the day for a few minutes and the odd live match.
Yes, I agree entirely. Not that I claim any expertise, but we do seem to take longer to go from defence to attack than any other team. And I'm sure Brucie is aware of that as well. How to fix it (or he may like it?) seems to be the only problem we nearly all agree on.
But surely someone might, after all, it not unusual for some pointless fool or another to demand that a poster should buy the club just to enable them to post an opinion, so it must really be a doddle.
Im going to buy the club as I keep saying. Just as soon as I win the $500 million lottery. My purchase keeps getting delayed as I never get any of the numbers right.
