Thought he was, it just that my chain of thought is thinking, is he been lined up because were about to lose one of our wing backs.
Hull City striker Abel Hernandez is a target for Italian side Sampdoria, reports HITC Sport. please log in to view this image The Uruguay international joined the Tigers for a club record £10 million from Palermo on deadline day last summer, but only managed to find the net four times in 25 appearances. The 24-year-old is understood to want to leave Hull as he has no desire to play in the Championship following the club’s relegation from the Premier League. The striker is looking to engineer a move away and Serie A side Sampdoria are keen on bringing him back to Italy. The Tigers will be willing to offload the Uruguayan due to his high salary but recouping the fee they paid Palermo could be a stumbling block and il Doria are understood to be favouring an initial loan deal, which will likely include an option to buy. Hernandez is on international duty with Uruguay in the Copa America and a decision on his future is likely to be decided after the tournament. http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/sampdoria-target-move-for-hull-city-striker/#x4lj0ds4zD73JV1Z.99
Id try a cheeky bid for mccormack , fulham cant make much cash surely they need to trim the wage bill after not going back up last season
Hdm reporting were chasing Ipswich's Daryl Murphy had a decent season just gone, but doesn't seem to fit into the young and hungry category that SB was talking about, he's 32.
HULL City are set to compete with Fulham and Cardiff City for Ipswich Town's marksman Daryl Murphy. The Irish international finished top-scorer in the Championship last season with 27, and almost pushed Town to the Premier League, with their top-flight bid ending in the play-offs. Murphy, 32, has one year left on his current deal but Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy knows he faces a mammoth task to keep hold of one of his prized assets, according to HITC. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...tory-26679362-detail/story.html#ixzz3ckcGqg6T
I'd be inclined to let Cardiff have Murphy and then look at picking up their strikers. Kenwyne Jones is being linked with a move to Australia. Worth an inquiry? Federico Macheda was a bit in and out for them last season. Still a respectable scoring record though. We're still massively speculating right now though. Until we know who's leaving it's hard to say what we want and what we can get. Frustrating period for us fans.
We've no clue how tight those purse strings are. We ain't gonna be shopping in Harrods. But it could be Waitrose or it could be Heron. We might even be rooting through the bins at the back of Iceland. Not a clue.
We were linked with Murphy a few years ago. Nobody seemed impressed then, but he did have a cracking 2014-2015 season.
I don't know why we haven't gone for him already, he's not figuring in Cardiff's plans and he scored 8 in 17 in a half season loan at Bolton last season.
He is and last I read, it was reported he wants to move back up north. Edit: Cardiff seems to be a bit of a graveyard for decent strikers you'd expect could do you a job in the second tier.
