Now that Ince looks likely to be on the way out for a decent chunk of money, am I the only one thinking that if he is willing to come to us, we should spunk the £12m asking price on Rhodes. He really does appear to be a consistent goalscorer at all levels he's played. If we lose N'Doye and Jelavic as is quite possible there may be no-one left with any record to actually purchase at the time and we are going to be left with no recognised forwards.
That's far too sensible. Let's sign someone instead who has never played in England and just 'hope' they come good.
A point well made - we'll be sticking them in left right and centre. Personally - I think Brady will go. Norwich are interested and he deserves to stay in the PL.
Of course but he also said he was not looking to leave. Staying with us wont hurt his Wales place at all.
If the rumours are correct Rhodes will join Middlesboro before us. As for N'Doye, Hernandez and even Jelavic(if anyone in the PL wants him) may only leave on loan for the season. It will be interesting to see who if anyone takes them and for how much.
It's ok lets get the other one from Blackburn. Gestede, Carlton Cole and Izzy Brown, James Wilson or Chubs Akpom on loan. Can't believe he hasn't gone in for Palacios yet either. As somebody else mentioned Leon Britton would be quality. Defence I think will be solid. Maybe Issac Hayden on loan from the Arse. Sorted we will piss it.
Brady was behind me this morning all suited up in his land rover and turned off at Hessle Foreshore. Presumably he had an early morning appointment with the media whilst getting the customary Humber Bridge shot in the background. Either that or he was going dogging.
City wont doin any business until we can cut the wage bill and raise funds. Who we keep and what we do in the loan market will be key.
Would take Jarvis. The Cherries are welcome to big fat Tom. Then he can get relegated for the second time.
P Please let that happen. With the 'up and at 'em' tactics that many teams in the second tier will employ Huddlestone will be even less effective than last season. Needless to say that Eddie Howe would undoubtedly turn him back into an England prospect, but then Eddie Howe promotes entertaining football.
I just tweeted about this and about twenty people have already offered to give him a lift. There's not much Tom love going on out there.
