I wouldn't mind Jota, but I think Bournemouth are looking at him and they were quoted £5m, bit pricey. Harlee Dean we were linked with when Brucey first took over and we got Bruce Jnr instead.
The Dame going? http://www.nufcblog.com/2015/05/30/newcastle-in-for-senegal-international-striker/ [Edit: http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/05/new...entlemans-agreement-dame-ndoye-steve-bruce/?]
He's proved he's a 1 in 3 striker in the Premier League - that alone should mean we should be looking for £4million at least. We paid £2million for him not knowing if he'd take to this league having never played here before. Yes he's 30, but we paid £3.5million for a 30 year old centre-back last summer - strikers tend to be priced a lot higher than any other position as well, as a proven goalscorer is much harder to find.
If that chart that showed the cost per goal for PL strikers is to be believed he's actually cost us £3.9M, so £4M would be minimal profit. I'd ask for more, at least £5M, **** Newcastle.
You have a dire understanding of what constitutes Razor sharp. Then again you have a dire understanding of football like a few others on here.
@lee_ryder: Newcastle set to be offered Dame N'Doye with Senegalese striker ready to quit Hull City http://t.co/J1hnZrlKtL #NUFC
I think that would be my minimum as well. I would think we would hold on to him for a bit to see if we could get a small bidding war going.
