Now I got over the initial shock of the news that Rosenior is off, it Wonder if there any more surprise's coming our way.
That would be absolutely ****ing ridiculous. If genuinely good players like Rosey and McShane get sent packing whilst junior gets a new deal, it's undeniable nepotism and Bruce senior has to leave. All those banging on about Lenihan, I don't know how anyone can judge his value to the team, we've never seen him play and all we can judge him on is his struggle to get into the worst team the second tier has seen in a long time before getting injured. What are these opinions of him based on?
I don't mind junior staying, he was excellent last season so deserves it, l just don't want to lose the likes of Macca and Qiunn.
Steve Bruce may have been told many things, but he is, first and foremost, a football team manager and coach and I would hope he is able to prioritise his player movement and this one seems strange. When I spoke of building for promotion that is what he should be doing now, not when in the PL. Think of his build project as a barn conversion, much will go, but some core elements are kept. What I and quite a few others are suggesting is that it seems a rash move to be giving one of those core elements his marching orders, as we will need a player of his quality, versatility and specialism to compete at the top of the league.
It does sound feasible back in January, although I thought he was negotiating his contract? As it is he is here, we are relegated and the game plan must have changed, surely?
I don't think he struggled to get into the side, he picked up a bad knee injury just before the third game of his loan spell and he returned to the club. Lee Clark did say at the time that he wanted him back if he was back before the end of the season. He did also get a random call up to the Ireland first team at some point before Christmas, I assume based on his appearances for Blackpool and our U21's. I can't think of any other reason they'd have called him up.

Yes fair enough Eric, but other than those things, everything is looking Rosey... err no, bad choice, I will rephrase! Everything is looking peachy creamy!
