He hasn't implicated anyone in this so called shambles. Some of the released were offered contracts but chose not to. Pretty certain in the same situation I'd let them move on too.
Have you tried keeping up with events or just read a few random posts and decided to offer your misinformed opinion off the back of that? Let me ask you this, in the hope you will decide to find some truth - (Quest 1) what can you find that tells you they were offered contracts - (Quest 2) can you find something, from those involved, that makes it fairly plain that contracts were not offered. (Game hint: Quest 2 will bring you better knowledge.)
Rosie has played very well at RB,RWB,LB,LWB and IMO could even play as one of a defensive 3 if needed (he's taller than Chezzy I think, and solid in the tackle). For his wage, which will not be huge, we had a large amount of positions covered due to his versatility, and he was our only real defensive RB with experience. Why trust Bruce's judgement so blindly when he's ****ed up the last season so badly?
Personally I don't give a **** I see it as disgraceful that Rosie hasn't been offered a deal, at least 12 months, players like him don't come along very often, he can play in multiple positions and he's a great ambassador for the club, not to mention that his nan's from hull The only thing that would change my mind would be that if I discovered he'd been complicit in any way with regard to the Livermore saga, I obviously hope that he isn't but absolutely anything seems to be possible at our club at the moment!
I can't believe that he didn't sign a contract if one was on the table, but it's who to believe, whether he had a chance to sign or not.
I am definitely going to take my own advice there, will see you back on here in a month or two Look Back In Amber!!
Christ. What a top bloke. If only some others who'd left were as classy as him. Can we now stop with the blaming various people at the club for him leaving? Also, can some of you not turn on him now after he's made some comments which unsurprisingly I agree with, and lesser comments have made the knives come out for other people?
Nothing about Steve Bruce on there. To be expected I think. There are some bits I think could have been left out, that I don't really agree with, but I see he's attempting to make a unifying gesture with his goodbye speech. I like him, quality player and quality lad, I wish he wasn't going.
What a man. I met Liam at Hornsea supporters club. Very honest, articulate and humble. His loss is someone else's gain. I also met Curtis Davies and George Boyd too. Again, with all three of these players, you felt they were under no illusions how much football means to the fans and that they would run through a wall for the club.
That struck me also no mention of SB only his team mates, though really heart felt letter and typical of the man he is. Really sorry to see him go, a top pro, and wish him all the best for the future.
A very decent thing for him to do. His opinions are his to hold, not something we need all agree or disagree with, but there are better threads for that, just as his letter was not the right place to express them. This thread, however, is the right one to show contempt for his leaving and I think his very careful choice of words, leaving out any mention of Steve Bruce (extremely unusual if their relationship is anything close to decent) says it all - he found space for the tea ladies, but not the manager. Should we have the right opening on our coaching team, I would be very happy to see Liam return to our Club, Hull City AFC.
So it would appear, but I would have no interest in that as I don't and will never support a club with that name; he would have been better keeping his powder dry on that one, unless he wants to be regarded in the same light as the self-serving leg-end Windass.
As others have said, the stand out element of this letter is no mention of thanks in the direction of Steve Bruce or any of the coaching / management team. Very, very interesting and it really isn't an accident....
