Am I the only one who likes Vardy? I'd have him at City. He's fast, works his bollocks off, a team player and like someone has already mentioned, he has a lot of assists. He may not be the best finisher or the best on the ball but he's a whole lot better than Abel Hernandez.

Is there an U21 B team?

    There might be.

Vardy still wouldn't get into the B team if it was a friendly.

I was going to say this.

Considering the top 2 automatically qualify now, we're already pretty much there. They might as well be considered friendlies now.

I said I'd have him on page 1.

Sadly too many people seem to be suddenly buying into TigerRoo's philosophies. Worrying.

I'd have him too, but there's a big difference between us/Leicester and England

The club shouldn't matter. If you're good enough, you're good enough.

Though with England it seems that for the most part that mantra is ignored.

Roy said Grealish hasn't actually decided which country to play for.

But he's not good enough for England, but he's good enough for City

All the other people who would be in front of him are with U21s at the Championships.

As a result, he is the best choice left for England.

Crouch, Defore, Puncheon and Young would have all been far better options

    Crouch - No.
    Defoe - No thank you.

Since when the hell were Young and Puncheon strikers?

They're all 'forwards', I don't see why they have to be strikers

We have had the (mis)fortune of also seeing Vassell in a Leicester shirt.

    Vardy > Vassell

They may very well all be 'forwards', but that doesn't make them all strikers.

Would you call a full back a centre back, and vice versa?

Now you're just being daft because Young and Puncheon are both sensible suggestions. We already have Welbeck, Walcott, Rooney and Austin in the squad, we could have easily put in Puncheon for example, who's been very good for the last 18months-2 years.

    They are sensible suggestions.

    Not for replacing Vardy though.

Of those 4 players you've mentioned, only one of them plays in the middle. Rooney players attacking mid, Walcott and Welbeck play out wide. If you're bringing one of those players in, it is for Welbeck or Walcott.

Funny, Walcott played up top for England in his last game, Rooney has played on his own up top for England many times. Welbeck doesnt't play out wide either, just because Arsenal use him there, he isn't a natural wide player. Stop being pedantic for god's sake. We have enough forwards in the squad for the 2 games, hence why I would have brought in Puncheon

Welbeck is played predominantly out wide for England. As is Walcott.

Walcott's last England game was against Italy, he played out wide, Kane played up front.

Rooney may very well have played up top for England on his own, but how often does that happen now? He plays behind the striker. Coincidentally, his best position is behind the striker. Just as Walcott and Welbeck's best positions are out wide.

Stop being so ****ing pedantic yourself.

That's absolute nonsense, the comments would be exactly the same if he was a Burnley player.
