Putting the devil's advocate hat on, and accepting a poll of pass holders or those on the customer database would give a more difinitive answer, what's the betting the Allams argue that both polls combined amount to only 1200 votes against, and that some of those will be counted twice?

While refusing to do a season ticket holder ballot themselves, they're in no position to claim anything at all.

Which is why I mentioned it in my reply. Arguably they're not in a position to appeal or keep on not using the name, but they do.

My point isn't about what's right or wrong, but about what a possible outcome could be.

If we drop into the championship could the whole shenanigans start again from what I recall the majority of football league chairman voted in favour of the name change. Despite him saying premier league is global and championship is local I will eat my hat like paddy ashdown if no decision this time is the end of it

It doesn't make a blind bit of difference, it's the FA's decision and the process is exactly the same whatever league you're in. The FA Council is mainly made up of county FA members, not league chairman, it was only Greg Dyke and the Barnsley chairman(who Allam wined and dined) that were publicly in favour.

Fortunately, common sense is on my side.

It looks like the sense is more lousy than common.

As he claimed similar to what I put the last time there was a vote, and used it as part of his justification for continuing to delete our name off things irrespective of the FA decision, what are you basing your view on the liklihood of him not doing that this time?

This isn't about what I'd like to happen, it's about a possible response from the Allams.

O/T - Lambrettaman - I've contacted the club twice this week, ticket office staff still don't know what will happen to season ticket prices if we go down referred it to marketing dept. I've a feeling they don't like me at present. Do you know owt on t matter?

I never mentioned him deleting our name of things, I said he can't use the amount of people voting in these ballots as a reason to try and dispute any FA ruling.

The re-branding by stealth is a different issue, the FA have no rules regarding what you call yourself on social media or on programme's and many clubs have no name on their badge, there's nothing we can do about it.

Only time will tell what he does once the FA reject the second application.

I never said he'd use it to dispute the ruling, my point is exactly what you say is a separate issue.

History has shown he's used that argument in the past to drag this on and and on. Ignoring that and hoping he doesn't do it again is setting hope against experience.

As you feel there's nothing you can do if he does that, it seems to support what I'm saying.

The club are not currently answering any questions on anything, not just those from the HCST, but also the local media and even the Premier League.

We'll be pressing them again shortly on the promise of refunds if the name change bollocks continues and if we're relegated, we'll press them on the prices to. Forcing people to renew before knowing the name of the club, or what they will be paying if we're in a lower league, is utterly disgraceful.

Cheers OLM, I know for a fact there is someone on here "from within" the club so if they are reading this get your finger out!
