Don't compare Gerrard and Le Tissiers integrity beefy. Gerrard was off to Chelsea until dark forces stopped it! Not to mention staying at a Champions league club is a piece of piss compared to a constant relegation struggler.
Le Tiss only didn't go to Spurs as they didn't offer him a big enough wage rise, everything else was agreed. But fair play after the deal had fallen through he stayed.
Ronald Koeman @RonaldKoeman 19m19 minutes ago @JayRodriguez9 could be fit in 4/5 weeks! That is different than playing a game in 4/5 weeks!
Yep Jays team will probably twist it again. I did say (last week I think) at least a month until he even has a chance to be on the first team bench(DTLW said the same) . Jays PR teams have failed.
Nup. His wife stopped him from moving as I understand it. Didn't want to live in London as wanted to stay in Soton for the links to Guernsey.
I suspect there was a few reasons the move didn't happen (I think Venables was appointed around the time the offer came about and wasn't keen either), but that was certainly one of them.
I thought it was because they revealed the new kit for the following season and he thought it looked a bit too tight-fitting for him...
I don't care about Jay until he commits his future to Southampton. If I was at his place, I would feel a certain obligation to the club that stood by me in every way for a year while I was injured. But that's just me.
Sounds like he is on his way back. Can I just say thanks for your consistently good contributions to the board, DTLW- I don't have to bother following social media or keeping an ear out for ITK rumours regarding Saints. You have it all covered.
Extended talk from Ronald on Jay. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/434345/Jay-Rodriguez-Injury-Southampton-European-push
Tbf, it has been admitted that he's been kicking a football for a couple of weeks or more. My friend who lives in Staplewood might have got the odd week or two incorrect, but essentially he was right. Anyway, we'll see if he breaks down in training with the football and in games.
