He had to prove she said yes to be innocent. The jury didn't think he did prove it, so he was proved guilty. MacDonald did prove she consented and was proved innocent.

My opinion is that it's turned into a campaign against Ched as opposed to a campaign against male violence.
There are too many drunken wife beaters/rapists out there. Ched Evans might be a "convicted rapist" but it's ludicrous to even suggest that he's in the same category as knife wielding lunatics. Evan's isn't obligated to apologise to anyone in particular because it'd make him a hypocrite. He is however allowed to want to continue with the profession he's trained for.
The people who are coming off worse are the people who are media. They're giving male hatred a pedestal to stand on and some feminists need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture than some second rate footballer who was almost unheard of before this happened. There are far greater issues for them to look at and issues I wholeheartedly support. This is not one of them.
IMO, it's up to employers to decide his fate rather than morons on twitter. Oldham pulling out because of threats is a sorry story.

Reading the heated debate on this thread last night I saw Charlie you were calling one contributor "Lily" as a putdown presumably. Coming from you that seems strange. A woman's name as an insult?
