Late 70's, early 80's they got beat 0-4 off QPR at home.
Was a mid week game & 14 odd thousand turned up.

Billy, his granda was a survivor of the Burns Pit disaster at Stanley, I used to work with his uncle, Geordie Keegan at RHP, he ran the great north run in a football kit made up of half Sunderland and half Newcastle strip, so there is a bit of local history.
