So, they remember you vaguely from one player 5 years retired, sound. Mega brand.
You remember him for the same way I remember Jack Colback's last goal for Sunderland, rifling the ball into the net at St James Park.
Colback, by the way, is ****. He's Geordie.

The people who now support Pardew are fickle. The majority of us who still want Pardew out, aren't.not fickle

From 8 games with a squad that cared not one jot for the club, I won't judge.
I prefer his last goal for NUFC, rifling a shot into the roof of your net in a 4-1 (?) win. 206 goals for NUFC, how many has your top scorer got?
Go abroad and say you're a geordie, people will say "oh, shearer, shearer". Shearer and Keegan made us into a worldwide brand, thus they still have relevance to us.

Colback is a below par player. But to get him on a free was a great deal. I still wouldn't have touched him with a bargepole mind, being a turncoat and all![]()
We're known globally, hence why we are one of the top 20, I believe, richest clubs in the world. There's big potential there, we will realise it one day wen the fatman and co leave.
A great deal? The salary he's on means you'll pay approx 36 times his value in it's term
Aye, cracking deal mate.
I don't get it.you happy playing here?

No we just respect our club legends, rather than treating them so badly that they get to the point of hating all the fans that used to adore them a la "Sir" Niall QuinnWhy not, is it the normal Geordie trait of selective memory or just eradicating history when it doesn’t fit an argument?![]()

Is any mackem actually stupid enough to think any black and white believes that Shearer is responsible for us being relegated ffs?
This thread is going to go tits up. I have a few good acquaintances who are red and white. On the other hand, I'm staunchly black and white. I despise your football club, your plastic city and the vast majority of your fans. Your town centre is a s**thole, your town on the whole is a dump. You have nothing to offer, and no identity of your own. Sunderland is a second class "city".
Always in the shadow of Newcastle, and the thing that hurts you the most is, that you know it.
Really? But what for?? It's not as if you've won owt for 45 years...
Horse punching, riots, pitch invasions...?
Bollocks, mate. Until you win something you're not actually casting a shadow
As for the city stuff, well Newcastle's OK, but if you really think it's some gleaming metropolis, think again. Both Newcastle and Sunderland are pretty crappy if the truth be told...

Ha'way yersel'. I can assure you it ain't. Anyways, South Shields makes both of them look Bombay![]()
Shields always has a place in my heart, been going there since I was a baby. It's beautiful until you get about 5 yards back from the sea front
I don't disagree on the city side as I've said many times, Newcastle is an amazing city.
Some lovely buildings on the walk back to central station after a 3-0 win or 2.
Yeah but at least the derbies aren't our cup final like they are for you mack...oh waitReally? But what for?? It's not as if you've won owt for 45 years...
